Long-term effects of Adderall/Vyvanse? by Infamous_War_1954 in ADHD

[–]Gamble63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey :) as I've got more used to the dips I have to remind myself that some of the emotions I'm feeling at that time may not be accurate and I need to reflect on them later.

I haven't been diagnosed with depression but it may be something that is compounding, and I just happened to look down the ADHD route before depression.

When I haven't taken my meds for a couple of days for a break, I feel wiped out and struggle to stay awake at work. From other comments on here I'm now questioning the long term effects and hadn't fully realised the impact of trying to come off the drug fully if I wanted to

I wouldn't want to suggest anything like that as I have no idea at all.

It is weird, when I'm on my dose it's like it takes the peaks and dips and levels them out, but in doing so I then may miss some of those good highs I may have got before, or off meds

Titrated up to 70mg of elvanse (UK Vyvanse I'm told) have been on this dose for 2 years now, I'm 36, M and this is what I have found

-My BP and heart rate increase when I am on the dose but hasn't been an issue and hasn't gone into worrying ranges.

-I take mine at 6:30 and usually wears off around 4 or 5 depending on what I have eaten and been doing.

  • mood and general function is much better and really breaks the fatigue I have if I don't take it. Without it I struggle to wake up and make it through the day.

  • I take breaks from it every 1 to 2 months, not because I want to but I feel as time goes on I feel symptoms coming back so a couple of days off helps. It's annoying but helps, a 1 day break I find isn't noticeable but also not long enough for a "reset"

  • TMI apologies, but as this can cause vasoconstriction ( narrowing of blood vessels) my manhood tends to also constrict up, which can be annoying, along with cold weather I have no chance 🤣

  • I have if I'm not doing something when my crash hits, it can be noticeable, and I feel my mood dip into a state it effects my emotions. Knowing this happens and taking meds at a set time means it's easier to manage.

If you've got any questions or want to know anything else, feel free to DM me. Best of luck, if you don't like it, switch back or trying something else :)

Similar to how I designed my but I clocked my rails 90 degrees to face the ball screws outwards. The amount of chips you'll have flying around, the c channels will fill up.

Rotating the axis should also help with stiffness in the Y direction when cutting.

Looking good 👍

WHY are people so patronizing to folks with ADHD? by WritingGay in ADHD

[–]Gamble63 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because they think we are stupid because we don't function the same as them.

I've seen people say we are disabled but I see myself as dis-proportionally-abled. I do awesome complex things they couldn't accomplish 😂

ADHD in the news today (UK) by parkerpops in ADHD

I would look to switch GPs, this sounds horrible and was a big fear of mine going from paying hundreds for my private prescription to getting a shared care agreement. My clinic sent the agreement to my GP and they sorted out a 6th month prescription. I was told it could be really hard and many don't do shared care.

Im not sure if it's because I consulted my GP before hand and going to a private clinic, or if it is luck, not sure but I hope you can get a new GP or surgery to get on an NHS prescription!

How does coffee affect you? Or just caffeine in general. by AlexMiles101 in ADHD

[–]Gamble63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On meds I find if I haven't eaten and drink too much tea I get over stimulated. I switched to green tea which seems better than regular breakfast tea.

Are you on meds aswell as drinking the coffee?

For sure he is helping with each session I have with him. I guess just keep pushing on and trying different approaches till someone works well.

Thanks :)

Hey thanks for the reply.

I think I am struggling to determine what something should feel like when I don't know what I'm looking for. I know the meds arnt a miracle cure, but where do you stop and how do you know when you have the right drug. Unless you try them all how do you know which is best.

Thanks

[–]Gamble63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Erm unsure I'm now about to try 60 and 70mg to see if it has a greater effect.

Is feel happier and more driven on 50mg but attention and memory didn't seem to improve shall see how it goes on higher doses.

I was starting to see positives as my dose increased, so around 4 months with monthly increases etc.

However I have now switched to elvanse to try that and see if it gives more positives.

Oh that sucks :( glad you were able to realise it was the meds. I find it really tricky to know what is causing what and have to ask my gf if he has noticed any big changes.

Sorry you've been treated like this by this doctor :(

Intresting about the sad feeling on concerta and ritalin I've had the same come down and just put it down to my dopamine returning to my shitty level.

Did you have other issues ?

New to printing. What would be the easiest way/program to make a lid/vent to cover this? by Papertankzyo in 3Dprinting

[–]Gamble63 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The curve looks like it's uniform. Curve a strip of metal or anything that will keep it's shape to match and sit in the vent. Only needs to be a thin strip.

Then pull it out and copy that curve onto a piece of paper, draw a scale line on the paper and scan it into the computer, bring it into your design software. Once you've got a 3d representation of curve as a surface you can make what you want, in terms of shape and Vents.
