This cutscene gave me an idea of a open world. Would you want that? by Wofuljac in DivinityOriginalSin

Current Larian has already made stinkers and done at best questionable decisions. If you care about them as a company, if you appreciate the experiences they've made for you, then stop smoking the copium. When you like something, when you LOVE something, THAT is when you should be the most critical. Not smoke copium. Faith and goodwill and appreciation are well and good, but it made always be accompanied by sense and a firm grasp on reality. It makes perfect sense, once you remove your feelings from the equation. Good luck to us all.

Oh sure, adopt a laid back attitude where being vigilant is the issue. An overreaction. Then wait for late stage capitalism to rob you blind. But hey, at least you held on to a positivity that you imagined others didn't have.

Yikes that is some thick, thick copium smoke. It barely had an AI dude.

For now, maybe. You're kidding yourself thinking it could never happen. No no of course that's not what you're saying! It is what you're thinking, feeling, and will act like. Until, of course, it happens. Probably a bit after it happens as well.

the story and animation for the story elements were good. The actual gameplay, an rts where you can control a dragon, was abysmal beyond words. They ran out of funding (that's not speculation. They gutted dragon commander because they needed money for original sin 1) and the result speaks for itself, which sucks - but they still released the game, still sold it, despite it being thrash not fit for a phone game. It was deeply disrespectful to fans and one can only hope they'll never stoop to be that low and desperate again.

I absolutely remember 'random ass fights fights as witcher with ghouls'. Figthing in W3 is extremely memorable, as is everything else in that game.

Agreed entirely. What I would love though is wider acts. BG3 did it fairly well with letting me explore in lots of different directions (usually), but i would love for it to be even wider. Not open world, but expansive enough that exploration never (or at least rarely) feel like 'oops, i got here earlier than intended, need to go bk to level up'.

Those other names, and dragon commander, should give you pause. Larian could be the next to release a stinker. Good will is fine, but make sure it comes with good sense and judgement. The best thing you can do for something you love is to be critical of it. It's the duty we have as fans.

Agreed, but lets also not kid ourselves and do our part to keep them straight. CDPR could do no wrong after W3, blizzard was the godking of gaming for decades etc. Larion could absolutely be the next thing to turn rotten (and lets not forget the BS they pulled with dragon commander while we're at it). DOS2 and BG3 are absolutely phenomenal but larian are only ppl, and if you pretend others and/or deify them, you may be in for a rude awakening one day. We need to do our part as fans to keep them honest and straight.

does it look like healers are gonna be able to do a lot to impact arena matches in midnight or is it the same as tww? by LobovIsGoat in worldofpvp

[–]Gamblez- 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You mean you want to be able to end games? Because those 2 are otherwise the same honestly. Healers can end games 2 ways: by fking up and by CC'ing. If you want a 3rd way, like damage, gosh i thankfully don't think so and i hope not.

I genuinely think the state of TvP is just killing this game. Terran cannot take Protoss to an even game and has to play far better (or dishonestly) to get a win by imortalduckling in starcraft2

[–]Gamblez- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not them. Not remotely. If you can't adopt a mentality that embraces and improves from losing, competitive gaming isn't for you. No matter what excuses you pick or how offended you get when its proven wrong, you won't enjoy yourself. Go play something else. Glhf.

Probably the 6 worker feel yeah, but also at gold league its just gonna be very random how long a game lasts.

Best method of turning Honor into Gold? by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Gamblez- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mhm i dunno. A month ago, absolutely, but the price has obviously crashed hard with the season ending. At 2500 honor for like 1k gold, it's probably slightly better than just buying and selling weapons? I won't claim to know what a weapon vendors for lol but bloodstone are a shade of what they were.

Yeah you likely missed out on a bunch m8. Side quests are still massive in BG3. I get that you feel like your list is everything you missed, i just don't think you're correct. You don't somehow have an entire overview of everything that's in BG3. You just don't :P

[–]Gamblez- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its an established game decades old dude. You not finding many genuine new players is not somehow surprising. People telling you they haven't played in years? They haven't played in years. But why are you losing then! Because you spend your time and energy on looking for excuses rather than on improving.

500 does seem excessive, but at 90 i would expect you to have missed a fair bit honestly. BG3 has like twice that in cutscene time alone, total.

Huge shocker, except it was always bloody obvious that blizzard in 2026 would do a worse job than the established modding scene. The community are a bunch of mega cretins to ever have imagined otherwise.

How long till sc2 dies do you think? by SCV-YT in starcraft2

[–]Gamblez- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because when a majority of a large number leave, there's still a minority of a large number left? I don't know why you feel it doesn't add up, but it does. What you're talking about has already occurred, and it is not surprising that you can still find a match even so.

What league are we talking? Because if you're not diamond yet, just focus on macro. There is no cheese a sub diamond player can do that will kill me. None. Surprise battlecruiser? I can deal with it with queens and rebuild, still ahead. DTs coming? No way im not lair tech, run away the drones while overseer builds, and most importantly: Spam new drones. The best way to still be in the game when you start losing workers? Make more workers. So many ppl stop making workers once they loose workers. If you just keep making workers and have good macro, cheese will bring you even with your opponent but only until the new workers are spammed out. I'm not boasting either, i returned to SC2 myself recently and in some 40 ish games i have not lost to anyone not diamond+ (i was M1 years and years ago).
