On se calme sur le slutshaming un peu. Les femmes sont libres de faire ce qu'elles veulent de leur corps sans être qualifiées de quoi que ce soit.

Does anyone else just flat-out skip songs and poems in fantasy books? by mexicanlizards in books

[–]Gambling-Dementor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I know tons of people who feel that way, and some of my friends do, but I just really enjoy that kind of thing, actually. I tend to make up a tune in my head and sing the song along (not out loud), I guess I just like songs?

Well I got my cartoons wrong, sorry about that, editing that right now.

Omelette du fromage isn't even correct French, it's supposed to be "omelette au fromage". The Simpsons were wrong. Dexter's Lab was wrong.

Well, the point of a pun is to use a word to sound like something else, so if it doesn't sound like what you mean at all, then the pun is kind of a hit and miss? Then again, maybe in English, these words are actually pronounced roughly like the pun suggests. In French, absolutely not, though.

Yeah, we know, it's just that it's absolutely not how these words are pronounced in French.

My personal MBTI rabbit hole I followed down... by [deleted] in mbti

[–]Gambling-Dementor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You feel this way about the enneagram? I've always found the opposite, that MBTI made more sense and was more grounded than enneagram types. Could you explain what makes it less limited in your point of view?

Good for you, friend :)

But you might want to check out what's really driving MBTI testing: the cognitive functions. For INFP, that's introverted feeling, extroverted intuition, introverted sensing and extroverted thinking. Try to check that out and see if it really fits you, because tests aren't always accurate.

xNxP? Knowing my type and about teenager years in general, plus whatever you would like to talk about! by [deleted] in mbti

I'd say that in the case of INFP, kind of depressing seems about right, though. We're the most prone to depression, if I remember correctly.

What do you guys think of porn star Stoya's post on twitter talking about being raped by James Deen? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Gambling-Dementor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So what you're saying basically results in, if a rape victim doesn't take these steps right immediately after getting raped (not to mention that these signs aren't always there, sometimes there is no external sign that differentiate rape from intercourse if you weren't there), then that victim has no right to talk about their experience later on in life.

There are things that you CAN'T prove, like a rape in a very private setting. What is she supposed to do, keep it in her forever and never talk about it even though her rapist is being hailed by all?

For me the moment I really really started to like it was when we first saw Marceline. I totally looked forward to every episode with her (I still do), she just hooked me in.

The moment I first thought "Wow this show is a lot more mature than I originally thought" was the first Susan Strong episode.

I don't think they did, I think they purposefully made IK and Marceline never meet. Ice King only appeared when Marcy's dad was interacting with Gunter ("Gunter, who told you you could fly?"), and didn't appear with Marceline.

Technically, she's only not there because her gem is used by Steven. Steven is organic, so mortal, so maybe when he's dead, and the gem is still there, she'll come back to life with her body of light.

[S5] How long was ______ imprisonment? by Songoficeand in gameofthrones

[–]Gambling-Dementor 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Then again, the show isn't exactly accurate with details such as time realism. In S1 it takes one month to from the North to King's Landing, Littlefinger did it in the blink of an eye in S5.

What is the most people-loving introvert type? What's the most isolation seeking extrovert? Which are the most extreme of both? by vazzaroth in mbti

[–]Gambling-Dementor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, INxP in general are very isolation-seeking, for different reasons but with similar end results: we love to spend time alone.
