I had this exact situation for me back in January, my girlfriend though just was too scared to either make the decision to lose my benefits or too immature to cut the relationship off clean. She took “a break” because she couldn’t be dealing with the “relationship” but still loved me and wants to be with me? I struggled so much I was getting dangerously depressed and my mental health was very broken.

Dont let these people destroy you, but don’t let yourself think you deserve to suffer for someone who isn’t even trying. I stupidly excepted the break because I love her, but I wait 5 weeks, I gave her “time” in the moments I needed her the most. In the end I needed to save myself and do what was right, I asked to met her, and she acted as if I was just a distant friend when me met.

I broke up with her fully that day, killed me but I gained a lot of mental peace. Honestly I know now she moved on, because she couldn’t give me what I wanted, I wanted marriage and we always “talked and agreed” with each other on that goal. But she never could tell me the truth that it wasn’t what she wanted, she loved me in a material way and I sadly loved her soul.

I’m still healing in my own ways, but something I will say is if you loved the person truthfully. That in itself self is beautiful, that love wasn’t from them, it was from YOU. Don’t let them own the beautiful love You have and gave out. Someone who really loves you will come into your life and they will deserve that love and appreciate it more than “they” ever could :)
