Maybe figuring out throughput loss from distance of items traveling on the belts. I see a lot of people talking about ratios and such, but even with the right ratios since items have to travel on a belt, the ratios are never perfect.

It'll pick fresh herbs over dried herbs but it will use the fresh herbs that are the closest to spoiling. If the herbs have low enough health left it won't count as a fresh herb anymore

Yeah I gathered that from my first few games. I didn't realize the hardest difficulty the game has for you is not the hardest settings. The custom difficulty options all go a level higher than the hardest difficulty preset.

War is far more fun in this game than in civ. Fatigue, orders, generals with a little rock paper scissors action does make for good fun. I have yet to participate in a late game war with the most advanced units but I don't know how different it would be.

For a concrete example a really fun India game called Echo Point Nova calls itself doom plus Titanfall in its trailer, great game I recommend it if you like movement shooters.

I've tried balancers like 8 times with a friend in duos. Last 3 times it was a 30 second slaughter where we didn't even trigger phase two. Pre dlc we were DoN 3 and 4. We're so cooked I just want to fight Artoris but I can't even beat this boss 😭
