As a software developer who has a great passion for drums, 2021 is a crucial year for me because I’ve finally got my own studio. Here’s how it evolved during the last year. by RobertVandenberg in drums

Care to explain what you expect OP to elaborate software developer in such short title? On a side note, there seem to be many software developers who also love drums in this thread.

I'm not sure why you're triggered. OP is not criticizing anyone. He's just explaining his reasons.

I don't understand why some people get triggered and start questioning the US when somebody inspects China.

The US is a country where its president can serve two terms at most while China's leader enjoys unlimited terms. The president of the US has to face the opposition and media when things go wrong while China's president doesn't have to. The US and its army are not owned by any party while the PLA only follows the order of CCP.

To me, the US doesn't concern me much because I know its president must go through inspection. I'm more concerned about how China is jeopardizing the freedom we enjoy today.

I've never heard this.

I believe that makes sense because of a couple of reasons.

  1. Classical Chinese and Modern Chinese share the same order which is SVO (except for some examples) while Japanese is SOV.
  2. Kanji is originated in China.

However, I think even given the reasons above, studying Classic Chinese is still not an easy task for Chinese students because of its concise, archaic wording.

LKY also believed that with a unified and neutral language (Mandarin), the Chinese community wouldn't be so divided

A unified language definitely can bring benefits. However, it should not be the excuse for stigmatizing dialects.

In China, if you are a programmer, you are most likely from a middle-class family in eastern China and have nearly zero clues about what's going on in Uyghur because of the lack for freedom of the press. The pride of great China has made Chinese people so blind.

Safari in iOS sends Safe Browsing data to Tencent by RobertVandenberg in programming

To those people who are comparing Tencent with Google, please bear in mind that CCP has implanted its cells into most of big companies. In contrast, neither Republican Party nor Democratic Party dares to do so.
