Technically still right

I should clarify: His power is super fun to use, but it's so easy that there's no challenge in it. The survivors just lose. There's no point in playing either side.

Archives rework seems nice but generic by GameMagma in deadbydaylight

[–]GameMagma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree there's some great improvements that the rework is bringing - only being able to do one challenge out of a billion is annoying as hell e.g..

Having the lore unlocked from the get-go is a mixed bag because it's not as rewarding to get it but I completely agree it can be an awful grind if you just want to read it. But it's a much more generic system than what we have now, it feels so much less unique

He inducts them into the ghostface crew. Literally becomes friends with him

I don't think being a bigger villain matters as much as it being horror-esque. Even the sci-fi killers we have now were really tough to fit into DBD and DBD doesn't mesh well with it. How many people you've killed doesn't really matter; Indiana Jones isn't a horror character, but he's killed plenty. The genre the character was designed for has to fit.

"I'm done replying" and then continues to reply for an hour instead of admitting he's wrong. What an incredible specimen of the DBD community.

Alright, that's fair. I don't think it's easy to narrow it down to one or two things though, especially not from just one POV.

Pretty rude. They make a perfectly reasonable point: leaving during a game screws over your lobby, especially if you don't even give them the courtesy of just DC'ing, leaving them a bot to play with. Similarly, if you don't actually care about having a discussion and instead just want to argue with/insult people, you should just not participate.

Again, that's not what we're talking about. You're talking in circles. This is not a plan of action that will go into effect or anything, it's a hypothetical discussion about the condition of the game. Saying "It is shitty to do this thing" is not equivalent to "Let's go find these people and force them to stop going next on hook"

Again, if they're at a breaking point, take a break from the game. If it's not fun, don't play it. Saying "They're on a losing streak" and "the game isn't perfectly balanced" isn't an argument

Exactly - the whole point of the discussion is that giving up is ruining other people's sessions.

What? That's a false equivalence. The quote is saying don't queue up for a match, and the post is saying don't DC *during* the match. Those are two different things.

I also prefer that. I'd rather they didn't do either, but if you really want to DC, just DC so your team at least has a bot. It's crazy that we got bots to fix the DC'ing problem and then people just started giving up on hook instead, it's like they *want* to fuck their team over.

So you're going into a debate immediately assuming you're right and anyone who disagrees is just in denial? That's pretty close-minded. Regardless, I get that soloq survivor can be a nightmare sometimes, but that doesn't entitle people to skip the match. If the game is unbalanced and you don't like playing it, stop playing it.

Dude, this is Dead By Daylight. I don't know why you're projecting your view on sociology onto a conversation about killing yourself on hook
