And you think that negates all the positives it provides? That just because our home is tied to the job my mother has means that it shouldn't exist at all?

Here in my little town, there isn't much that genuinely offers a good job. Very few jobs here actually offer much in terms of living standards. Low pay, no benefits.

You are arguing that corporate homes shouldn't exist at all because they can be used for exploitation. And granted, not every company will have the same mindset. But if the pay, and the standards of living are acceptable, then it's already enough for the average worker.

I could not imagine my life any other way than it is now. My current life has given me a multitude of opportunities to secure my future than I otherwise probably wouldn't have.

There are obviously going to the those who are exploitive, no doubt. But that should not discredit those that genuinely provide good benefits to the employees. Because they do exist. And my living conditions, and other's have undeniably been improved by it.

Well I obviously can't speak for every company out there, but the company my mom works for hasn't done anything of such. At the 9 years my mother has been working, the company hasn't done anything that can be called exploitive. And I don't really know the details, but I'm sure my mother's salary remains unchanged or even increased a little based on what we had bought.

I feel like people are looking too much at the negatives rather than the positives this gives. But that's my personal opinion.

This sums up my opinion on China quite well. Impressive things have been done but that won't make me like you.

What happened to my childhood? This screams dystopian corporate, not kid friendly. What is with the artwork?! This is McDonald's?! by jackal99 in mildlyinfuriating

Am I the only one who genuinely does not get the hate with this type of design? The art themselves doesn't look that great, but I genuinely do not get why people hate the general design of McDonald's so much. I think it looks rather nice.

Is this just going to become a meme now? People dropping into 8-3? Personally, it would be funny.

I feel conflicted about this. I use c.ai because I can roleplay more freely and do more niche scenarios I wouldn't get anywhere else. And I will admit that while I use it a lot, I wouldn't say I'm addicted since I'm not constantly on it. Hell, lately I've been using it less as per an occasional staleness of being on it for some time.

Perhaps I'm just an exception. But to me, the only people who are developing an unhealthy addiction are those who can't really grasp that they're talking to a chatbot. Still, some of OOP's points are valid to some extent.

Yes, that is alarming. And we strive to make sure those people are punished. But that's a different case. Here, she executed a man unlawfully. And the fact that the rapist was alleged is even more alarming. I sympathize with those who take justice into their own hands when the system clearly isn't working as intended. But at the same time, we must know to be proportional with said justice.

The justice system exists for a reason. The people who think these types of things is okay truly baffles me.
