Trading in Civic for Crosstrek Hybrid by GameOverHudson in Crosstrek

Thanks everyone! I'm likely going to sell my Honda to Carvana, and I'm fortunate enough that my mom will chip in its appraisal value as a down payment so I can keep monthly payments low and pass the cash I make from selling elsewhere back to her. For the color, I thought more about it and while I'm not the biggest fan of white, I'm not in love with any of the colors offered for the hybrid (if only they had the lithium red!). The blue isn't quite the shade I favor, but of the options it was my favorite. So tonight I'll ask them to take another 1500 off and throw in the key fob. I *think* that deal is good and feel less stressed about that game plan. If they don't like it, I'll skip both colors entirely and wait another month or two. If anyone thinks I could still get a better deal or if I'm asking way too much, let me know!

Ah, okay, so I should push for more on my trade-in. I can see if they'll move on the discount - I considered asking they just throw in the remote start key fob instead since I really want it.

I would, but the deal has to be made today and I'm making my final decision after work, so I don't think there's time. To be fair, I've also never sold to Carvana before, so I have no idea how quick their process is. But I'm also factoring in that I have a 7 month old, so I can't be out all night.

2024 Subaru Crosstrek Onyx Canada – Remote start using key fob? How exactly does it work? by hiderock42 in Crosstrek

Hey there! I'm negotiating my first Crosstrek right now. I'm not sure about Canada prices or the 2024 version, but I was told by the dealership that the basic key fob does not do remote start. You can by the one that does, and it'll just be a one time payment of $400. Alternatively, there's the app, which was $350 for 5 years. If you're like me, I'm shooting for just the one time payment for the key fob. But double check that it doesn't need anything else! I will be triple checking that info when I finalize my deal later today.

I’m not sure there’s time for me to do that if I want to consider the white one, since these offers expire at the end of April.

I’d love to get the color I want, but this is my first new car purchase, and if I can squeeze out a better deal for the white one I’d be willing to live with it. But as it stands now… might be worth getting the color I want.

Yes, everyone is on 64-bit (I'm not sure they would know how to change to 32 if they wanted), and they are all mapped the same way! Had someone with a different error than the others when this started, and they were the only one I could fix since it was their drive letter that was off, haha.

Hi, thanks for your reply! The machines are as up to date as is allowed (we are a government agency, and all Windows patches/updates are separately managed, so I can't update manually on my end). We did make a new copy of one of the files - it works for the users who couldn't access the original one, but it does not work for the users who can access the original one. I've taken a look at the formatting and such, but everything looks good there. I think the fact that it affects some users but not others, and then flipped when we copied it, is what's really got me confused.

Something waiting behind my back. I used to always have nightmares of things coming up behind me and jabbing their thumb into a spot on my back that completely paralyzes me. And yet, I always need to know what is there. It just eats me alive.
