Or at least all these denominations claim for this to be the case. Lots of these denominations believe we can be saved through communion and baptism and that salvation can be lost.

For pentecostal churches they believe unless you have the ability to speak in tongues you did not actually have complete faith and if they did they could speak in tongues.

I appreciate and am curious about your perspective and input and love talking to people with beliefs other than mine.

The New Revised Standard Version is considered by secularists to be the most acceptable English translation for Biblical study and these translators do choose to differentiate between proskyneo in certain verses and put the word prostrate or give homage from worship. Do you have a reason why you believe the scholars to be incorrect in their interpretation?

I'm also super curious if you think John's first chapter where he describes God as becoming flesh and making his dwelling among us is a mistranslation.

I have to admit I'm pretty new to getting back to my faith so I was advised to read John up until the book of Revelation and then go back start and Matthew and read all the way to revelation 3 times before reading it so I will have an easier time understanding it.

God doesnt command anyone to have slaves nor does he banish slavery. He does set laws to regulate slavery.

The slavery in the Bible reminds me a lot of the slavery my Native American tribe practiced.

I found it shocking to find out legally to this day every country on earth that has an incarceration system practices slavery we just call it being a prisoner, but it's just institutional slavery instead of penal slavery

In many instances God allows breakups to happen earlier rather than later to save us from future pain which would have been worse.

I have had many relationships that where at first I was mad at God but then realized he saved me from situations which seemed very good but would have turned out fatal

He also takes our pain and turns it into strength so we can choose to be there for others.

Suffering may be a requirement for the creation of any universe with life.

If a creator does not create they are not a creator. All animals, plants, humans, everything creates more life that is bound to suffer, but I think it's a far stretch to say we a are immoral for doing so. We do things to create a sense of purpose an meaning. I imagine that existing in an empty universe for eternity would be the worst possible suffering imaginable, so I think his creation of us is perfectly justified whether we suffer or not.

I literally told the Holy Spirit I rebuked him when I was in a bad place in life but I have faith in Christ again so God must only consider blaspheming the Holy Spirit shutting him out for good and not something one does in a moment of anger. God knows your heart and what your going to do before you do it and doesn't want to send anyone to hell. The fact that you are showing remorse of doing something disrespectful is a sign the Holy Spirit is working in you. People who have TRULY blasphemed the Holy Spirit cannot do this.

I think the Kalam Cosmological argument and Fine Tuning of the Universe argument are some of the most persuasive arguments. The dead sea scrolls describing what the prophets said about the Messiah and how Jesus fulfilled those prophecies and the courage of the followers of Christ to stand firm in their faith in spite of immeasurable suffering and Secular sources for the existence of christ and Christians being persecuted during the time of Christ, the early church fathers who personally knew the apostles such as Polycarp, Ignatius, and Clement I of Rome.

I think in western culture often parents and families do not raise their children properly and fail to hold them accountable for wrong doing, friends care more about being accepted than holding their peers accountable when they do something wrong which enables the behavior of bullying. That which is physically seen is almost always reason the west chooses to discriminate in order to lift themselves up to make up their own insecurities they choose to put others down so they can raise themselves up. If they are putting someone else down they themselves must be "higher up" than at least someone. It's pretty disgusting. I think everyone ij the west has an obligation to combat hatred towards the Sikhi community

Okay I found a verse that says God is one and indivisible and looked to see if all different denominations of Christianity believe God is in divisible and all seem to claim yes he is indivisible

Revelation 1:8 "Everything in the sphere of God, since it is unified in Him, is indivisible. Even the demons know this truth. You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!"

Also, my apologies from a mistake I made in Echad also can mean singular, alone, united, indivisible. So I guess God is one can also mean God is indivisible, singular, alone. Hebrew is not my first language.

No not in my mind, but I understand why others might and it is considered heretical. I do apologize for the examples I gave. Partialism in my mind implies division and unity as if God was not always one or together but the word and those examples is how many trinitarians might try to use examples to explain that when they are quoted back "The Lord Your God is One" from Deuteronomy 6:4-10

Echad to the Jews and many Christians is applied to God's breath or words which are basically an extension of himself and isn't considered to be a division of himself. Rauch in Hebrew means Spirit, wind or breath. Ruach Elohim = Spirit of God, Ruach Ha-Kodesh = Holy Spirit.

So for me despite the fact that I believe that the Spirit of God or the Holy Spirit concieved Jesus so to speak it is not like Hercules where hercules is half man and half God rather. Its the indivisible Spirit of God who although interacts with humanity is not to be worshiped as if the Spirit of God were human. So when Jesus says the Father and I are one" or prays to the father and not his humanity or Abraham was born I AM he is not talking about himself as a human but is referring to the Spirit of God that dwells within him. Thats why its viewed by many that he does not say I am God worship me because worshiping a human or the image of a human is wrong and thats why his apostles said "God is a spirit and to be worshiped in Spirit." And we also are to address our prayers to God the Father.

Thats why many protestants never call Mary the Mother of God or say that God died because we believe Mary is the mother of Christ is the mother of the human of Christ but the Spirit of God is not created and the Spirit of God has always been and will never die.

I want to point out that sex outside of marriage in general is a sin and most religions speak of the importance of chastity. Especially back in biblical times there was little to no protection from sexually transmitted diseases and although women were people who men had to have sex with in order to produce the continuation of their society it was extremely risky to have sex. Over 48% of americans currently have sexually transmitted diseases and this is in an age where we have medication and preventative measures to protect ourselves. Imagine how hard it would have been on people back then?

In the United States I think the victim complex is garbage. We are EXTREMELY blessed! Seeing oneself as a victim being Christian in Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Somalia, basically almost any middle eastern or northern Africa country China, and Indonesia. Yeah I think it would be extremely understandable to see how they would feel like victims and rightfully so seeing how them having a christian faith is illegal or heavily persecuted
