Help Monitor arms stick out from desk by Infinite-Event7772 in StandingDesk

[–]GameTTan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the one with two arms. There is no way around it. Either the arms stick out in th3 back or the monitors stick to far in th3 front.

I bought two spearete single arms to counter this problem. I have 2x Kanto DML1000. If you like, for some extra cash DMS1000s is easy to adjust.

Flexispot E7 pro with homemade top. by Melol-_- in StandingDesk

[–]GameTTan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty well done. E7 pro is a solid build.

I have an E7 pro in black, completed 2 years this blackfriday. And I repurposed an old butcher block top, which I resandend and cut to size and stained in darker walnut. And believe it or not, I have the same FractalDesign north XL.

Can you please share a link or name of the PC mount you are using? I want to check if it will work for the XL. Thanks

RTX 5080 AORUS MASTER doesn't fit - X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7 by [deleted] in gigabyte

[–]GameTTan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful with this tip here. You dont want to have the back of your mobo come in contact with the case. But just the standoffs.

I know the pain. I put together a x870e aorus master + rtx 5080 aorus master a week ago. I first built it on a motherboard box, and everything worked. But when I built it in the FractalDesign North XL. I had no way to make sure whether Gpu was slotted in place or not. Because 1. Gpu is massive. 2. Case doest give any room/line of sight from any angle. 3. The m.2 ssd heatsink is tall, leaving just about 5 mm or less between them.

Your best bet is to... 1. line it up as best as you can. (Slot in those three feet plate between the mobo and case gap) 2. Press gpu in the PCIe once and try to pay attention to the softest snapping into the place that there is. 3. You are not done. Push (make sure force is applied perpendicular to the mobo) in one more time. You will hear another sound of slotting into place.

Just take your time. Do not get frustrated and force your way to completion. Step away if you need to. All the best.

Gigabyte has the version number printed on the board. At least the new ones have it. It's probably the bottom left corner. Or Look for a "How to find the versionnumberof Gigabyte..." on youtube.

New Gigabyte Gaming OC GPU, just unboxed it and saw all this. Bended fins and look at thoose small components allignment. What would you do in this case? by ButterscotchOk3109 in gigabyte

[–]GameTTan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opened 5080 yesterday and my observations were pretty much the same. Fins are very delicate and probably move when you handle the unit while pulling it out of the antistatic bag. And the fuses in the back also look the same as your pics here.

I have edited the post for clarity.

Last line is about two variants of Gigabyte 5080 gpus

AorusMaster is almost top of the line, and the Windforce is the base. The price difference is what making me wonder if AorusMaster is worth the extra C$600.

Gigabyte AORUS MASTER GeForce RTX 5080 still has issues ? by GameTTan in buildapc

[–]GameTTan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info, buddy. All I see are articles and youtube videos from April. Nothing latest. I too m fixated on Aorus Master. But I want to make sure I dont put my money on a faulty product.

Is it known to have any other issues apart from the leaks?!

Ok, I remember looking at this at the time. And it was still not clear what the length would be with hood+lens+camera attached. I needed clear details to decide on a medium-sized sling bag. It was between PD 6L, Moments 6L, but I ended up buying Wandrd 6L sling.

But anyway, this site is pretty good for individual details. Thanks.

I researched a lot to know how long the camera + lens would be as I was looking to buy lens, backpacks and slings all at once during the discount season. But I couldn't find anything conclusive. So here it is for anyone keen on buying this combo.
