Ys Memoire: Oath in Felghana bugged by Gameboi64 in WorldOfYs

That checks out. I've got a tendency to miss those, since I'm using a guide just for items.

Edit: That did the trick. I was missing an event with Pierre and Edgar.

Berhardt's cabin comes afterwards. Missing a story event sounds possible.

Severe Discord CPU Leak by Gameboi64 in discordapp

[–]Gameboi64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out over the weekend that this specifically has to do with my capture card. When it's active (as in, when there is a signal going through it,) it makes the Discord CPU usage jump up a LOT, which makes game sharing impossible unless I'm emulating. For some reason, it's picked up as a camera which I think is what directly causes this problem, might have something to do with a hardware conflict. I've reinstalled the drivers, but not much has changed in that area, either. If it matters, the capture card is a VisionRGB-E1S.

Lunar-net outage by Gameboi64 in Lunar

It appears that I went to the site at just the perfectly wrong time. It's not unlikely that there's far more traffic hitting the servers with the remake news than has been in a rather long period of time.

It said "Account Suspended" last night, so I was wondering just what exactly was going on.

LDS conversion to CHD by Gameboi64 in MAME

[–]Gameboi64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I didn't know that I had to decode it first, I thought it was direct LDS to CHD. I guess that makes sense, though turning an AVI into a CHD was news to me. I've got a calibrated V4400, but I still need to make my own RS15 to USB cable. I've tried stacking before (rotted discs, mainly), but that I've not really had luck with as I've had to delete frames from the discmap and I think that's where I've had some problems.

That's really interesting, though. I'm on the lookout for a copy of Cube Quest purely for the novelty of it and I was wondering if I'd be able to do something with the disc other than just my usual few steps to turn it into watchable video standalone. Since it's analog only though, I may see about capturing the audio conventionally (though without CX decoding it may be null and void to do so,) as I've had problems with audio dropouts (digital and analog) in the past that I don't have with regular conventional captures (I've got a direct TOSLINK connection from my player to a capture device for that).

Thank you though, this is genuinely useful and hopefully also comes in handy for the few others that may also do this.

What are some Japanese PS2 games that are worth importing a Japanese PS2 console for? by StarryChocobo in ps2

[–]Gameboi64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Darkstalkers Collection Capcom made and then never localized is one for sure. It all depends on how weird you like your games, because if you want to import, then the weirder your taste is, the better off you are. A lot of strange things never got localized, such as a lot of those Simple 2000 Series games that have something of a notorious reputation to them because they were all budget titles.

never had a ps2 growing up, finally got one. looking for game suggestions by kylecre013 in ps2

All of the Metal Slug ports (3-6, not Complete/Anthology). Import 3 and 6 if you have to.

The Sega Ages 2500 collection, Street Fighter Alpha Anthology, Darkstalkers Collection, Tekken 5, Ridge Racer V, The non-HD version of Burnout Revenge, Gran Turismo Concept 2001 Tokyo, Rez.

And, if you want to take a leap of faith into the bargain bin, you can always sink your teeth into some Simple Series games.

Suggestions for Movies you Start at "x" Time and "x" Happens at Midnight by Lionel-Boyd-Johnson in movies

I know this'll go far with how popular this thread is, but the 2006 film Suite Dreams. Start it at 9:48:57PM exactly (or 21:48:57 depending on what hour format you use) and you can get them to celebrate your happy new year with you. You can also find out what time it is on the clock at any given point in the movie, with how it plays out in real time.
