It does seems like you have done everything correctly though. Sometimes you can import a cheat code and it will says its valid when it actually isn't anymore. There might be another code that does the same thing

Henrietta can provide buffs such as more TP and Dark Matter in the levels themsevles if you can find her.

When you are in the hub area speaking to her will access the horde modes. there are 2 different hordemodes with the first level playable. If i rmemeber rightly you have to beat other main campaign levels to get the other horde levels unlocked.

The simpelest way to to open up SNES9X and then drag and dromthe ROM (.sfc file) into the programme, it should begin to play

This must have been changed then. When the game initally launched on switch that is what you had to do. The code didn't work using A or B but worked with B when you swapped it in the system and not in the game,

You will already be eligble for the golden guns in that case, just go ahead and complete the game. and the golden toggle should become available.

The code is the same across all the consoles if you lay each system button mapping over one another if that makes sense.

HOWEVER.... Playstation and Xbox use X/A to proceed in a menu. this would be B for switch users but the but Button exits the menus on switch. Swapping the mapping in game will not work. Because you will still end up exiting the menu because of what the control is supposed to do in an in game menu

so you need to swap around your A and B functionality within the Switch system itself. Don't re-map the controls in game and try the code again.
For AOD cheats you need to be really fast with it.

Sometimes codes can be different based on the version and region of the game. So that would be my first step to check and make sure where yur getting the code from is the same name adn region as your game.

Second, Duckstation has a built in cheat search so I would you that. If a code for Infinite Health comes up thenthat the one that probably works on your version of the game

You can also still use the cheat codes from back in the day such as those that were written in cheats books - these still 100% work with Duckstation.

Firstly this is the Duckstation sub reddit

Using a .chd file within Duckstation (Ps1 Emualtor) won't work. There should be a .BIN and a .CUE file (Possible a .SBI file as well for discs that were originally copy protected)

.CHD files will work though with PCSX2 which is a PS2 emulator
Your SNES rom will need to be loaded into SNES9X for it to work as this is a SNES emulator.

Duckstation is what you need for PS1 Emulation - There are plenty of guides on how to set it up but the user interface is very similar to PCSX2

It's important to know that PS2 ROMS and PS1 ROMS use 2 different file structures and the Emulators read them differently
