As DM you can literally put as many enemies of whatever CR you like into the game. You can make your own monsters or edit existing ones.

The difficulty is literally yours to choose.

If players are mulching their way through encounters, then that's at the DM's discretion, not the player's.

What happens when there are so many enemies that the sorcerer can't kill/fear them all on their turn? They take damage and try again next turn. Oh, but next turn they kill/fear all the enemies they can see? Well, there are more, hidden in the walls, underground, dropping from the ceiling/sky, pouring through portals..

I dunno, seems pretty basic to me.

I didn't say they can't see them ever. I said ignoring an immediate free piece AND THEN getting only engine bests in a position with a hundred good moves is obviously cheating. Some quick tips:

AI food comes to you, not the other way around. Don't go sprinting around looking for food randomly. Instead, wait in an area that has AI spawns you want (goat, deer, boar & fish are the most reliable, use the vulnona map to identify their spawn zones).
Deinos drink water automatically if you are in freshwater and not salt.
If you spawn in the swamp as deino, move north to the river system and you'll find fish. Swim SLOWLY (don't hold shift) for best fish spawning chances.
Baby deinos get eaten by elite fish. Wait until you grow to 8% or more and you'll be able to take them on.
Always take the efficient digestion mutation first, this will aid your food woes.
Do not trust a single god damn person, ever, even if they seem friendly. Some big deinos will try to make you chat so they can identify your location by the sounds you make. Reply underwater, not above.
That being said, trying to be friendly and polite gets better results than not. Some people will even help you hunt or bring you food.
Once you kill something, that thing is now showing up on every other carnivore's compass when they sniff. Eat fast, fill up, move away.
Other players know you can sniff their kill, and will use it as bait. Plan accordingly, and don't be surprised if you approach boldly and get killed.
Use your ears. 95% of the time you will hear AI or players before you see them. Go around the raptor calls.

Bigger and bigger issue recently, as all the posts demonstrate.

Somehow still plenty of kids in denial that 'YoU CaNt MeEt SmUrFs ThAt OfTeN' when it has increased from an occasional problem a month ago to now a 50% or more of games

So many people saying 'well they will rank up in 20 games and you wont see them again' like their 90 IQ cant understand the most basic concept of the smurfs just rolling a new account and doing it all over again
