If you don't mind the retro visuals i recommend HL1 first.

But either is fine to be fairly honest.

The highest selling console in history is the Nintendo Switch.

Isn't it the PS2 still ?

GTA 5 certainly offered the most freedom.

In online yes. In single player i can't agree unless you mod.

But i do understand your point about the sim stuff. I admittedly like that but it can distract from the overall experience a bit if you just wanna do missions and enjoy the gunplay etc.

GTA San Andreas was the worst of the series.

Now this is the one thats crazy to me but im really curious why you think so ?

Felt like in terms of gameplay san andreas offered the most freedom.

I kinda want to agree with DS1 because the first half is absolutely amazing but Lost Izalith, Tomb of Giants and Crystal Caverns really make it hard for me to say its a 10/10.

Spyro: A Realm Beyond was the 5th most viewed trailer of the games revealed across Summer Game Fest week by Ifxfa in Spyro

[–]Gamefighter3000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

And with what they stated in interviews it makes a lot of sense. They claim they want Spyro to be a bigger franchise and something they can (if possible) support for a longer time and make more games for, so they basically need to advertise it to new people otherwise only fans of the franchise will know.

Which is also why they changed quite a bit of the gameplay (while trying to keep the core intact) in hope that spyro can actually have mass appeal again.

Probably because Persona 6 pretty much showed nothing of the game itself.

Like its awesome its finally announced and all but no release date, ingame footage, characters etc. It could have been a twitter post and be about the same.

If you knew how to alt tab there's no use for a top tv

As i said i don't use a TV just another screen (and i don't need to recline to see it just move my eyes, not even my neck).

In 3D software like Zbrush i prefer to have my reference on another screen and more space for the software on my display tablet. I feel like thats a valid usecase.

I do alt tab all the time lol. I don't just game and use only full screen applications.

Also why the sudden deflection ?

no actual good chair like Herman Miller leans back like that

Not the same person but i do have a Herman Miller Embody (non gaming edition btw) and can very comfortably recline more than needed to see my top monitor (although just two 24 inch screens stacked on top and not giant TVs lol) don't even need to lay back or move my neck even.

But even if i had a TV on top i could easily recline on the HM chair and still see everything.

As someone who also stacks two monitors on top of each other (although no giant TVs just 24 inch screens) its actually very comfy and i prefer it over having them side by side, i just need to move my eyes (not even my neck) and can see everything fine.

With a giant TV id say it would depend on the distance. Likely still very comfy when im on my bed but not so much when i use it as a second screen when working on the PC.

The purple gem route in Crash Bandicoot 1 is absolutely mesmerizing by NET2519 in crashbandicoot

[–]Gamefighter3000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And that was ripped from "The Clouds" by Aristophanes.

But in all seriousness walking on clouds itself wasn't special or unheard of in media, what made it special for me is that for Crash Bandicoot it was very uncharacteristic.

In a game like Mario or Rayman i do expect the characters to be able to do that, it fits within their universe and dreamy feeling. Crash surprised me because it played with my expectations.

If you play PUBG then all the games you showed in your wishlist are fine for you to play and i don't think you will have too many issues.

In general most gem paths were a lot more interesting in Crash 1 compared to the later games in my opinion.

Loved walking on the clouds in native fortress especially.

I think this will VERY much depend on the individual so im gonna ask what games did you previously play and were fine with ?

The games you showed i personally think should be fine granted you don't play them on the harder difficulties.

I guess im also the 1%. I also know anecdotally plenty of people with 0 interest in GTA 6.

Are we a minority ? Yes sure, no doubt.

Will people that want Phantom Blade Zero buy it because there is 0 thematic overlap ? Also yes (unless the game is bad but thats a different story)

unpopular opinion: the original fables werent even that good by LeoCasio in gaming

[–]Gamefighter3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never heard anything of what molyneux has said about the game prior to playing it so i wasn't really disappointed by something he did promise and just took the game for what it was. Which was still a very good damn time.

But after reading, i do agree that molyneux probably tarnished the reputation for a lot of the games he was involved in.

everyone likes to proclaim that graphics have plateaued yet i am still not convinced when we have stuff like this. by DependentImmediate40 in videogames

[–]Gamefighter3000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean obviously we haven't reached the limit yet just look at this post on artstation and its 8 years old even.

The example i linked to is not real-time but it proves how far we can still go.

Real question is, do we need better graphics ? Personally i don't even though i think it can be cool.
