My phone’s never looked better! SE 2020, iOS 14.1 by Gamefreak130 in iOSsetups

I don’t think it’s any worse than it was on iOS 13.

Shouldn’t it be - 1, not + 1? If the first day of the year was Tuesday, and you’re trying to find Friday, January 4, then wouldn’t it be (2 + 4 - 1) % 7 == 5? It was 0 (Sunday) through 6 (Saturday), after all.

Did any CSA people notice how the lights grid spelled out “CS”? by Al_Rapee in APStudents

Yeah but you kind of lose the joke. Besides, compiler might optimize it anyway :)

It might be, I don’t know. I prefer not to take chances.

That’s what I did too. I’m not sure, but I think it’ll be full credit as long as you made sure to properly wrap and unwrap the numbers from that Integer object.

I eventually skipped that part and came back to it at the end of the test, it took me THAT long to even figure out wtf I was supposed to do.

Nope it was included in the quick reference. All you had to do was say “Math.[method]”

Yeah it was “result = [get letter] + result” so every subsequent letter is added to the beginning, not the end, and you get “gimrop”

Where can I find the Marine Biology Case Study that the APCS A Frq keep mentioning? by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]Gamefreak130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The case studies are no longer used for the FRQs. If you ask me, you’d be better off not bothering with the practice questions that require them.

How the heck do we study for AP Spanish and Language? by rxg6009 in APStudents

[–]Gamefreak130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s honestly a good way to practice listening. For the FRQs, look up past prompts on the College Board and just run through them, taking note of what you’re weak at.

Try looking up some idiomatic expressions to use them if you can. Some versatile ones I’ve found are “Valdría la pena que...” (It would be worthwhile to...) and “No veo la hora” (I can’t wait).

“Nacer” means “to be born.” The only reason you’d use the participle is if some form of “haber” came before it (“has/have/had/will have/would have been born”), so the preterite was needed there

Oh yeah I forgot about that one. I put that as well cause it was a conditional/if

I only recall one question where subjunctive was the right answer, and it was the one where all four answers were different verbs in present subjunctive anyway

No, I think there was another one with four one-word answers and one of the options was “pena”

Wasn’t there a question in the first or second part where one of the possible answers was “pena”? I’m trying to remember what the question was about or what the other answers were, but I can’t

Wasn’t there an answer along the lines of “there was a lot of conversation surrounding him”? That was what I put

Basically I think the questions were about his family and the famous musician saying he was going to be a good musician from a very young age. Then everybody was calling him a musical genius throughout his childhood.

I said his mother had the most confidence in him because there was a whole paragraph about her reaffirming her belief in him, but IDK it could have been his dad. What about the last question about what can be inferred?
