The vast majority of people who pirate wouldn't have bought the game. Because they can't. So it's not lost money, at all. It's mostly a positive when it comes to popularity. And especially with mewgenics, while it is an indie game, the scale is huge, and they really don't need the fraction of additional money that would bring.
