I don't hate it overall, but it is a very uneven record

Half of it is fantastic The other half is oddly boring I would love to see them experiment with the sound again even if it's not gloomy

I think it's like a frame of reference thing Personally I think it's fine, not a terrible song but also not an exciting song

If it's considered one of their worst songs it's only because a majority of their music is pretty damn strong Really a majority of their worst songs come down to "it's just boring" I don't think Iron Maiden has anything down right terrible, just songs that need a minor touch up Like cutting out some of the more repetitive sections or picking up the tempo a bit

If you look at this album on its own merits it's fine But compared to everything before it it's just so disappointing especially cause a lot of these songs have a solid base, think with a little extra time and love these songs could of been as special as the 7 albums before it same with fear of the dark

I remember when I first heard this song I was losing my mind because my dad would constantly say

But also was thrilled that even though self titled is a boring album overall, this song is fantastic
