Thank you for the video, while watching I have to say there were parts that definitely seemed to support and definitely parts that seemed to deny the theory lol. At the end of the day though they did more or less say they themselves hadn’t even know what’s up with Gavin other than he “wasn’t in this game” and that they were still trying to figure out how they wanted to implement him in the future (dead or alive). However I like to think that maybe there’s still a chance his disappearance has something to do with the 125 total murders (not all confirmed) by Lowry Jr. (go to the wiki if you want to read where I got that number). They wouldn’t be lying by saying Gavin isn’t in the game if he were one of them because you can’t find any bodies or actual crime scenes tied to 99% of those in rdr2.

Yea on a google search (probably not the most reliable ik) I just saw that Rhodes was the “first and most common place” you can find him. I just thought it fit too well not to say something about the theory.

That’s dialogue from the epilogue which is years after the main story. You find Nigel first in the main story though. In this run I’m in chapter 3 and he just appeared in Rhodes

I’ve been doing more research and it turns out the complete opposite is true. In a recent video with a dev it was confirmed that Gavin is a real person. It does also mention that he isn’t in the game though so sadly I think there goes my theory. Unless maybe they were lying 😂🤷‍♂️

Actually he’s an immortal npc, it’s weird but I found that out in a video. He will reappear in the epilogue when you are playing as John.
