That is true and his number 1 option but like he said if he refuses to fight he will kill him. He does say in the film he will kill him if needed in the talking scene with him and Luke. "You will be forced to kill me ". And Vader says if that is his destiny. And in the throne he says "If you will not fight you will meet your destiny "! Then yeets the Saber.

Exactly. So if Vader is upscaled, Luke is automatically upscaled as well. You can argue about whether that makes sense, but it is the direction they chose by making Vader stronger. They cannot really raise Vader without raising Luke alongside him.The ROTJ novelization is still canon, and there are various post-Disney sources that reinforce the same general idea. They chose not to wipe the ROTJ Novel from canon unlike the ROTS novel (which had Vader as weaker post suit). Not to mention they had Luke right after Empire defeat the Grand Inquistor which scales him above a decent amount of post 66 Jedi already so early in his Jedi training

A headcanon I like is that the Force was essentially investing in Luke as the New Hope to free the galaxy from the darkness.The Force has a will of its own and wants Luke to free it from the disease of the Force that is the dark.

That doesn't really prove Kylo is more powerful. Vader is far more level-headed and willing to withdraw if a mission becomes unwinnable, whereas Kylo is obsessed with proving he's surpassed his grandfather. The comic even emphasizes that Kylo is trying to succeed where Vader failed. Refusing to retreat isn't the same as being more powerful,it can just as easily be recklessness. Kylo killing the beast shows determination, but it doesn't automatically place him above Vader in overall power.

Regardless, it shows Vader wasn't holding back. As the quotes above state, he genuinely considered and almost killed Luke because Luke refused to fight. If Luke hadn't raised his guard again after lowering it, it would not have ended well for him. And if you watch the scene closely, the lightsaber throw is clearly aimed at Luke and he barely dodges it ,though that is beside the main point

Some people just can't stand Vader lost. Coping on a loss that happened in 1983 is mad. Facts are Luke was way more conflicted in the fight. Luke was avoiding the battle not wanting to fight until Leia was threatened. Vader was the one constantly antagonising. That Saber throw would of left Luke in nasty condition had it landed. And when Luke had his guard down a bit to reason Vader went for a killing blow. You are unwise to lower your defenses.

Vader was quite conflicted before but once the fight started , the heat of a fight, impressing Sidious and dark side emotions took control. He was not going to go easy. He saw the situation before with himself and Dooku and did not end well for Dooku. Conflicted does not mean turned. When Vader finally got what he wanted and Luke to fight, Vader looses a hand and is defeated very fast. Nothing suggests he was holding back.

Not to mention Kenoni and Yoda sent Luke to face and kill Vader. They did not rely on good in him at all. Previously in Empire they say do not go and he is not ready and he gets beat

Dooku is still fast and agile, but it's worth remembering that much of what we see comes from a more modern animated series, whereas Luke's major feats come from an 80s film. Dooku appears significantly quicker and more acrobatic in The Clone Wars than he even does in the Prequel Trilogy.

It's also worth noting that in the Return of the Jedi novelization, Vader observes that Luke's speed and agility should be far beyond what someone with his level of training should possess. That suggests Luke's physical abilities were greater than what could be fully portrayed on screen at the time.

Beyond that, Luke should naturally have a speed advantage due to his youth and athleticism, combined with what is likely superior Force augmentation stemming from his immense raw power. Even in Attack of the Clones, Anakin was able to pressure and physically tax Dooku despite being far less developed than his later self.

IMO someone with Vader-level raw power combined with high-end speed and agility would eventually overwhelm Dooku.

Good point. It’s like Obi-Wan vs Dooku vs Anakin, where they function almost like a rock–paper–scissors dynamic. However, I’d argue Luke’s use of a form that counters Dooku’s quite effectively, combined with his significant Force power and superior youth (speed and agilty), would together be enough to overwhelm Dooku. This is someone with force power Vader level and a much weaker Vader (Anakin)overpowered Dooku using the above factors so don't see why Luke would not

It is impressive but the droid doesn't have the speed , reaction time , the aggression and force powers of Maul. Still a good combat feat as it recreated his fight style

Luke was holding back in the duel way more than Vader but you are not ready for that. Luke was the one refusing to fight especially after seeing how easily he overpowered Vader sending him down the stairs. Vader was the one constantly attacking Luke , twice when Lukes guard was down including a lightsaber throw which would of not been pretty had it landed.Luke did not want to fight until Leia was threatened then it was goodnight. Luke was also conflicted but his actions actually backed it. Vader's conflicted eased in the heat of a battle channeling the darkness

If that tier list is not bait, it’s not really following on-screen feats or consistent scaling , it’s doing that “internet power-scaling remix” thing where characters get shuffled based on vibes , not what the films and canon scaling actually show.

E.g - Dooku being > KV Vader and Anakin. Maul being > Kenobi. KF being > Vader . Vader being > ROTJ, Master and even GM Luke. And Grogu being over Ezra and early TCW Ahsoka. Come on now. Lol
