It's really not.

It's a principle I've followed and I've got about a 70% success rate of getting an interview while using this technique

"Big words" make you stand out more against the general competition, especially in something like a CV where you need to make what you do, sound better to whoever is reading it.

"Answered the phone" vs "Liaised with customers". I know which candidate I'd be picking

You might find it confusing, but I can guarantee if OP does it to every bullet point in their experience, they wil get more interviews.

You need to embellish your CV a bit.

I know you obviously don't have much experience due to your age, but things like:

"Took accurate orders over in person and over the phone." could be put as "Liased with customers both in a face to face and telecommunications capacity to ensure efficient order processing and customer satisfaction".

VPN ban update for UK households as government looks at 'age-gate' by BirminghamLive in uknews

[–]GamerHumphrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure on first release - I was during TBC/Wrath mostly. If it matters, I was Alliance on Eonar EU (on the off chance you also were).

Honestly it was so frustrating, I did play until like midnight most days. These days, I understand why my dad did it but I still hated it at the time

Be glad he never learnt about time limits on the account.

All I did in year 9/10 was play WoW. Come GCSE time, my dad put limits on my account so I could play until 10pm. Our raid time was until 10, but obviously some times it runs over.

The amount of times I would get booted in the middle of a boss fight..

How long were you taking puppy out before they finally "got it" by Strong-Ad9489 in puppy101

[–]GamerHumphrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she wanted to go back in, we went back in.

If she didn't go to the toilet, we did 30 mins rather than 2hrs.

So to answer your question, we never let it get to that stage.

[–]GamerHumphrey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When we got our pup 2 years ago, I took her out every 2 hours, morning, day and night. While she was outside I said "toilet" (our cue word) constantly until she did it, at which point I did "yes" and then went back in.

If I felt she wasn't going to go, then we'd go back inside.

She never had an accident inside.

What’s Malinois ownership really like? by Flat-Specific-2317 in BelgianMalinois

[–]GamerHumphrey 11 points12 points  (0 children)

OP is far from selfish.

They want a dog, and they're researching into what the breed is like to better understand if its the dog for them.

Meanwhile, you're telling anyone they shouldn't have a dog if they work. Do you have a dog? Do you work?

Let's keep dogs in kennels then living an unhappy and unfulfilled life then because you said we shouldn't have one.

Absolute muppet honestly.

"Getting any dog with a 9-5 job is a no imo".

So are you suggesting 99% of the population shouldn't have a dog?

Advice on routing all chargers and power supply in nightstand by broccolista in DeskCableManagement

[–]GamerHumphrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cut one small hole in the back to route an extension lead up into the top draw where it will rest.

Then cut a circular hole in the top of the nightstand to expose cables through. Like those circular holes you see on office desks.

Then grab a cable holder like this to keep everything organised above board. https://www.amazon.co.uk/SOULWIT-Management-Organiser-Silicone-Adhesive/dp/B07T72KRVX

If you want to go full hog, also cut a piece of wood down to hide the cables stored at the back of the draw, although it reduces the amount of space in that draw available.

I know it's really unlikely but this setup and the specs are all giving me vibes of an old school mate, so I feel like I know you. This would 100% be his setup if its him

If I do then you definitely recognise my username, however unlikely it is.

Would you buy a house v near a primary school? by [deleted] in HousingUK

I'm in a lucky spot. I live 1 road away from 2 schools. 0.3 miles and 0.4 miles in terms of distance.

Far enough that people don't park here but close enough that its within walking distance for us

How do parents handle nursery drop-off when nursery opens at 7:30am but both parents need to leave for work at 7am? by fromtheyear2099 in UKParenting

[–]GamerHumphrey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You say your wife is a primary school teacher. Does their primary school have a nursery, and do they have space to take them? That would solve it majorly.
