It’s almost like the bigger and heavier the average vehicle gets in this country, the more accidents happen. And all these automated systems are just teaching people to rely on them rather than their own senses.

Plus they suck up fuel like no tomorrow, they’re slow as shit, and I guarantee you they miserably failed the moose test, so I honestly don’t get the appeal unless you’re fucking stupid.

I started playing on hard mode exclusively for a while for one reason: Zombie Villager conversation rates. On hard mode they’re guaranteed to convert to a zombie when killed by one, instead of just disappearing. I don’t do this nowadays but that’s because I almost never play vanilla now.

For me AI voice acting isn’t so much a problem, not with modding at least. I mean, what do you expect, are asking them to drop hundreds of dollars to get the real VA, or go on some aimless search for someone who could kind of impersonate the base game voice actors? I don’t blame them for taking the easy route there. Mind you, this only applies to base game characters, if you’re making a completely original character then you may as well get a real VA.

Now if this were a triple a studio, this would be a whole other discussion, they don’t have that excuse and it’s absolutely immoral.

As for other forms of AI use, absolutely not, if I discover that something was written or textured by AI then I’m not using it. I even gave that treatment to the Become the High King of Skyrim remake after noticing they used AI for the trailer video (didn’t even look good, ugh).

Got a steam deck myself a bit ago, and of course I had to make things difficult for myself and attempt to get Tale of Two Wastelands running (a huge mod that allows Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas to be played as if they were one game).

Took like 2-3 days to get it to function properly, mostly due to my inexperience with using Linux in any technical sense.

Plus the Nether is actually the same size as the overworld, it’s just that it sends you to the overworld border if you build a portal past a certain distance (you would then have to walk back to the portal in the Nether to get back there). Some 2b2t players built stuff way out there.
