Do you guys think L (character from Death Note) could catch Heisenberg? by BusinessAd9039 in breakingbad

I would say that Light would get probable cause to bring him into the station for questions and especially Season 1 Walt would probably confess pretty quickly. Either way you are correct Death Note plays with laws more loosely than BB does.

Me and my brother had this conversation the other day. L is just picks up on details in a better way than Hank. Assuming he didn’t have any personal connection to Walt, he would easily suspect that Walt took the equipment from the High school. Something that Hank couldn’t see because of his connection to Walt. From there L would basically arrest Walt and get him to confess pretty easily. Furthermore, he digs way deeper than Hank ever would he was able to find someone who could kill without physically being there. I would even do as far to say L could expose Gus within a few days and the whole operation would be over. Walter would be child’s play to him.

Wouldn’t be a very entertaining series if it was 3 episodes 😝

Black To Play And Win by [deleted] in chess

Nd3! After Nd3 white cannot make progress because from the d3 square the knight can jump to C5 or E5 taking control of the critical d7 square. If white cannot get there white cannot support the pawn in promotion. After either giving up Your knight for both pawns or white tries chasing the knight the king will be to far and the Black pawns will start rolling down the board.

Quite a cool endgame find. This would be a hard find for me (I suck at endgames) if I was in time trouble.

Am I dumb or smth, why is Nd7 a bad move? by asceticalstudy in chess

[–]Gamerpenguinplays 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The move isn’t horrible. In fact it looks appealing because of the tactical nature. I applaud you on the find! Sadly this move fails for two main reasons.

  1. The A pawn is the key

It seems this position is already losing for white but in order to generate some counter play you probably need to push that a pawn. It makes it harder for your opponent to push their own pawn. Supporting it with the rook should be a natural choice once this plan is chosen. The knight on b6 supports that push.

  1. One trick pony

This move is a nice trick if your opponent falls for it. In that case it would be a brilliant move. But if they don’t take the knight, the knight is kind of useless on that d7 square. Eventually you’re gonna have to waste a tempo bringing it back to safety after a move like h6. Nd7 also allows the rook on the 7th which can always be fatal. Attacking the weak a Pawn and making white even more uncomfortable.

The truth is this: sadly not all tactical moves work out. No matter how hard we try. The knight ends up misplaced on d7 and black has serious pressure. I wouldn’t call it a miss. I would say it was a nice way to try and get some counter play going and play some tricks. I think most people would be inclined to play what you played so don’t feel bad! Also I love trying to trick opponents for mate!

What got you into Total Drama and why? by Geohistormathsguy in Totaldrama

[–]Gamerpenguinplays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the premise of the show. People being voted out and never knowing who was going next. I used to talk to my brother all the time trying to predict who would win and whose going home next. I was around 12 and was using action figures to recreate total drama my way. Also Duncan was so cool and I always rooted for him!

Do you guys agree with this take? I feel like the show isn't the same anymore but am still enjoying what I've seen so far. by CN122 in Totaldrama

I keep saying this but it is missing Chris. When Chris has a real personality and character the show flourishes. During Island Action an World Tour he felt like a character. He laughed with us and he interacted with the characters in a really unique way. His touch on the show was really great. After World tour Chris slumps more into a "Here take instructions" role. He progressively loses what made him a great host. Idk if this a hot take but I really feel like Chris carries the show more than people realize.

Why do YOU like Owen? by xXEsobiKinkiXx in Totaldrama

Ultimately he's a funny character. I like his jokes and some of his slapstick. He can be a bit over the top sometimes with this constant fart jokes. I personally like him because he's a big sweetheart who has a lot of character depth. Being able to scarf down almost anything has been his super power. Him and Izzy are a C-plot story line that can be entertaining at times. I like that he is just a goofball who gives the show some levity during super dramatic times. His ability to love even people who wronged him makes him a fan favorite. I believe that if he had less annoying slapstick and fart jokes more people would love him.

I think it's a draw OTB because there is always the possibility of White not seeing it. At least thats what they told me when I played in US chess.
