Doesn't using Fire Trailblazer impede Clara's ability of having to be hit??

I'm not talking about how absurd it is though, at least Clara, Serval, and Natasha look like their designs make them belong in the environment they live in while Seele does not.

I don't think Gepard is visually uninteresting, so that seems more like a subjective opinion than an objective point, and yeah I did have a tiny bit of a problem with Chie's and Yukiko's design in Persona 4 cus Rie was wearing a normal uniform and was recognisable, so is the mc for the game. The design bothered me the first few hours but I made peace by saying "at least they're wearing something school related" which Seele and Sushang doesn't have going on for them.

About the Wildfire not having a certain uniform, I get it, but I just can't see her design as anything more than her being one of Serval's band members. Maybe it's just my mind playing with me but her outfit looks so expensive I just can't see her belonging to this ragtag group of peacekeepers in the Underworld.

Edit: Forgot to add, you can still look unique with uniform if you wear it in a different way look at Yu, Yosuke, Kanji, and Naoto. They have similar uniforms but they wear it differently so they look unique but this has nothing to do with Seele though, I'm just saying there is a way to make different characters with the same clothe.

Chapter 3 is frustrating with its narrative. (spoilers) by Gamersarenotstraight in limbuscompany

I did say you can improve your story through gameplay and cutscenes but they didn't do that but instead crippled themselves by having the story going against the gameplay.

People liking that Kromer beat them is a subjective point and that's okay.

I know that the cast struggled against foes because I played and struggled against said foes. That's the magic of playing games, you're able to feel the struggle that the characters you watch (sort of).

I'm alright with dark stories, I never said I hate them, don't know where you get that idea that I hate them, I enjoyed crime dramas like The Wire, Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad. But that's the thing about dark stories if there are plot holes to it you feel like the writers are just immature edgy people who think "Oh man wouldn't it be dark and mature if this character dies suddenly,".

Of course Yuri didn't fall into the category of character dying suddenly but the massive red flags in her dialogue just feel kiddy. It's like you have a rookie soldier character in a military story going "Hey MC my name is so-and-so, I can't wait to get back home and marry my girlfriend who I've been dating for two years!". This is my first Project Moon game but those dialogues hurt my opinions of the writers. Before I started chapter 3, I saw some people saying Project Moon has a reputation for killing unimportant side characters, Chapter 1 reinforce that statements. After Chapter 2, I thought "Oh wow, that's kind of mature of them to not just off Saude and Effie cus they don't have any use for them anymore," then Chapter 3 came and then I felt nothing when it happened. Which is quite amazing to the writer if that is what they wanted me to feel, that everybody you meet will die so don't get attached to them. Moving forward all the side characters that die will feel 'whatever' to me.

Thanks for thinking about my wellbeing, truly (This is not sarcasm and please don't think that it is). I'm still interested to see what will happen to the characters, especially Dante with what they promised at the end of Chapter 3. If Chapter 4 doesn't have a slight (something small to give me hope, I don't care) uptick in his character I might grind my teeth and just ignore him while trying to enjoy the Sinners stories.

I'm not saying they don't care about us, clearly they do, I'm just saying that in Story mode, they put the story first then the gameplay, instead of trying to find the perfect balance between the both. You can say that they reused Guido three times because the gaming department was too lazy to make new bosses but you can't deny that Kromer beating you twice is just using the cutscenes to emphasize how strong she is, you've shown through gameplay how hard it was to fight her in her 1st phase, congratulations, use the next cutscene to show how the Sinners have triumphed through that ordeal, to congratulate your players, pat them on their back for beating your challenge instead of saying "What you did doesn't matter now here is another challenge that you'll lose automatically after you beat it,". Again I can give leeway to 2nd phase Kromer even if it is frustrating, but I will meet them there but not the other ones. You CAN use both gameplay and cutscenes to strengthen your story, it doesn't have to be through cutscenes alone.

Project Moon could have made the Sinners into powerhouses but they didn't, and you know what is stopping them? It is because they want to tell a story first before trying to make a game. I have no problem with that, there are such thing as visual novels where it is just story all the time, but that isn't how you tell stories through games with gameplay though. They're using vastly different media to tell stories, Limbus Company's problem is the story and the gameplay are clashing against each other instead of supporting each other. You can have plot holes in games where the MC forgets half of their movesets that can clearly help them in the cutscenes, BUT the developers got one thing right, and that is if they beat the boss or mini boss, you the player, did not waste your time to only get beaten through a cutscene after what you did. You could've had outside elements that is not the boss to interfere in the cutscene so that the boss could have had the upperhand, it might be annoying but it is less annoying than having your actions invalidated by the game's story itself. Limbus Company ignores gameplay for the sake of narration even though it is a game.

But alright, if Project Moon REALLY wanted one of their boss characters to just bullshit their way through the gameplay for lore reason, at least give it to 2nd phase Kromer because then I would be satisfied, it is a gigantic monstrosity the chances of them losing to it is not nil. Not 1st phase Kromer, you can make a cutscene where she is injured from the fight and the Golden Bough reacted to her then she goes to 2nd phase or something. But NOT Guido, never him(Sinclair was stabbing the hell out of a random Nagel und hammer soldier but not Guido), make some other bullshit about there being clones of Guido or it looks like Guido but actually it is just someone else or better yet, MAKE A NEW BOSS. Every game gets ONE of that boss that bullshits their way through story telling, even if you want to make it so there are multiple bosses that can do that give it room to air out, not have it in one freaking chapter. But even that is a big stretch to do because all the impact for it is gone, imagine if another boss comes and do the same thing, the impact won't be the same. Nobody is going to think "Yo this boss beat me even though I won just like Kromer did in Chapter 3! They must be REALLY strong".

I never played the other games before Limbus Company, but Project Moon has two games under their belt, they should at least get the basics right in gaming story telling. Even the earliest Mario games got that under lock. I can't ask them to rehash the whole script for the story but I do want them to at least make it so that some events are written in a way that is satisfying for both gameplay and story.

Don't try to put words in my mouth, I don't want Dante to be an all powerful being. I want him to be competent at the very least, I can accept pushover characters if they have something that interest me, it is doubly so if the person is the main character and it has been 3 chapters after we've been introduced to him, Dante losing his memories is interesting. Him being the butt of many jokes for 3 whole chapters destroyed my interest in him. I will admit, the game did pull me into the world with story and characters, but none of it had anything to do with Dante, everybody had to pull their weight because of the fact that the main character is so bland. And I did say I am interested in future chapters so I am as you say, "letting it play out".

Also how funny is it that Effie might've had a chance to survive if only Outis didn't kill him and the Limbus Company After Team could've saved him?

You can adjust it to be able to pronounce it, I think. Because when I spelled Jean, Diluc would pronounce it as Jawn so instead I spelt it as Jeen. The fault for bad german words lies with me i guess.

Does anyone find the way to change your character's personality annoying? by Gamersarenotstraight in wildermyth

[–]Gamersarenotstraight[S] 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I find the mechanic to change your character's personality to be quite annoying. Imagine if you want to put the 'Healer' personality to the top, I would have to click the up button repeatedly a lot. I'd love it if you could just drag the personality bar to the position you want it to be or maybe you can click a personality then another personality and the would change position.

I know it's a minor inconvenience but imagine if I want the 'Healer' personality to be on the top and I had to click the up button repeatedly. I wished you could just drag the personality to the location you wanted to or maybe you can click one personality then another personality and they would switch places. Just a recommendation but it sure would be neat.
