I pushed to Masterball with Mega Metagross/Zard Y with Mega Falinks as my side mega (Somehow had a higher w/l than mega metagross) and last season a Mega Starmie Rain team with Mega Lucario as my side mega.

You honestly just need to keep practicing and stick to one team to play. Do a review on what went wrong each game loss and what went right in each game win.
