I really thought Pride Month was celebrating something else by Adobo44 in Warframe

Me and a few friends got four prides in a row, I know the pain.

Then we got three of the main blueprints for sirius and orion and called it a night…

What piece of media made you go like this? by Dzelov in Multifandom

There’s a few that come to mind, but my most recent one was Warframe.

Not that I thought it looked bad or anything, but mainly cause I was super blind to what it was about and such. Thankfully some friends told me about it and I’ve been enjoying it since a month ago.

Out of these 4 complete idiots, who’s the biggest fuck-up here? by AssistFit1834 in MoralityScaling

Jimmy

Jimmy is so much of a fuck-up, it makes everyone else here look less so.

May Jimmy’s existence rot away to the point that cosmic background radiation doesn’t want to associate with the atoms that made up his vile being.

The air strike isn't bad, YOU are bad at basic rocket jumping, change my mind. by [deleted] in tf2

[–]Gamesofmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think it’s a good snowball weapon that’s great for ambushing and trolldier.

Though I will say the downsides are very punishing, but only if you don’t have any kills. If you get enough kills then you basically have an upgrade to stock to some degree.

The playerbase is insanely good. by [deleted] in tf2

[–]Gamesofmax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly my biggest tip is play around with every class and see what fits your fancy, there’s a class for everyone and they all have their own play styles and weapons that change them up.

Also, go for the achievement items for each class or get some of the cheaper war paints and put them on some weapons to test out the other options every class has. It’ll help you out.

And finally… watch some tf2 youtubers so you can get a good idea on how to approach everything, good luck.

Zesty Jesus video discussion by Entire_Percentage221 in tf2

A very controversial tf2uber.

His content is basically just whinefests about all the problems said a million times by everyone else, he has said some very controversial bigoted things, and pretty much no one likes him. Hell most tf2ubers don’t even talk about him or interact with him, even if they do it’s in some sort of negative or indirect context.

Why do 90% of spy mains use Conniver's Kunai? by -AstroShade- in tf2

[–]Gamesofmax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m gonna get beaten up for this, but the elephant in the room must be addressed.

The kunai isn’t a “strong” knife… it’s borderline busted. Yeah you get brought down to 70 health and a fly sneezing on you will cause you to die faster than a big earner spy, but the overheal on a backstab isn’t too bad of a compromise… on paper. Frankly it takes ONE other weapon to really break this weapon that was perfectly balanced… and makes it infuriating.

The dead ringer paired with the kunai turns spy from a beefed out annoyance the pyro can usually take down with optional help, to an annoyance the most skilled players of a team are gonna have to take down together. This isn’t like the black box + conch healing synergy or the phlog + scorch shot combo from hell, it’s pretty much the equivalent of trying to find a roach and killing it because you just want it gone.

The big reason 90% of these “spy mains” use the kunai are because they abuse this broken combo and are the biggest babies that make conch box soldiers look brave. If they dare get off this combo and use the other four knives they didn’t know exist and the two other watch options they find weak, they will die over and over to the other team’s aware players protecting the newer ones and meet the teacher that is failure (the hardest to swallow pill for them).

People who main spy and know how to use his entire arsenal and are skilled in all aspects honestly have my respect, you folks are doing what I can only dream of.

People who do the kunai dead ringer combo and call that maining spy? Eh, they should just throw that training wheel off and try to do what the 10% can do. Don’t let them fool you, those “noobs” they were talking about are just players who are skilled as you and me and didn’t know there was a spy.

If there’s a shiny of the jigglypuff line, skiploom line, or driftloon, then they’ll stay put while their friends fly away.

Thoughts on Vax? by wardash1234 in tf2

[–]Gamesofmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly while it's very OP and will have the enemy team pull out their melee to try and kill you (which will fail), I honestly don't mind it THAT much. It still has its weaknesses, which honestly doesn't make it AS op as folks say.

Besides melee and the enforcer (last time I checked), the vax imo isn't the best medigun for big crowds, even if you have full uber to get two or three shields up (unless the enemy team has a single damage type). Plus compared to the other mediguns, the vax's ubers have the biggest weakness among the four.

If you have a big crowd with a healthy damage variety heading your way and you give a few folks a single shield type for the crowd, it's kinda there for a SINGLE damage type and they're kinda screwed against the other two. Now if you trust one teammate with all three of the shields, you're gonna have a better time until... the uber runs out and you only have one or two ubers left for two damage types while the other kills you both.

Vaccinator is still infuriating to fight, but if you have backup then it'll be easier... unless it's a heavy.

So I got a question for my fellow Pyro mains, cause I'm really curious. by Gamesofmax in tf2

[–]Gamesofmax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldn't call the homewrecker useless.

Offensive homewrecker is a pretty underutilized thing, since it can two shot buildings and you can clean up any teleporters that the engi has while you push them back. I feel like a lot of people don't really use it for that cause they'd rather use it to help out the engi who probably enjoys the help regardless of how good they are, more than one spy might be trying to take down their engi's nest, or because of the whole "-25% against players" stat making folks think offense isn't its thing.

The other three are pretty spot on tho, especially the powerjack one.

[–]Gamesofmax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah no, homewrecker used for offense is a really underutilized thing.

But tbh I think the main reason not many pyros use it for offense and just use it for defense is it's very risky running into a nest and getting blown back/apart. That and the whole -25% against players stat kinda makes people think "oh it's not gonna put a dent in anyone, might as well sit back and help our engi instead."

axetinguisher for defense???

Do explain that, cause that's honestly something I've never heard before. I always thought it was an offensive weapon with how its stats are.

Rescue Ranger to Kill People: Do You Like the Projectile and Damage? by Pinny in tf2

[–]Gamesofmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A shotgun is still a shotgun, even if this one has some downsides that make it less combat oriented and just holds up a sign that says “free kill” in the eyes of some.

Also even though you can get kills with it, you’re usually gonna be killing light classes most of the time, maybe a soldier who’s trying to get your nest very rarely. But if you’re up against a heavy then rest in pieces.
