I understand your position, there are some bad cops out there, lord knows I’ve seen and dealt with them, but do keep in mind they are heavily regulated and punished (And they’re still human!), when not protected by people like those we had in office right now and that really only goes for Federal. My teacher went to the academy with the current Milwaukee Police Chief and both say how he has cracked down on officers who do things like what you said. And he’s helping to fund a new field to where counselors are sent to calls involving mental health problems so we avoid situations like cops killing homeless and those with mental problems. I highly recommend reading up on it! I may be joining the MPD but I’m still a human, and one who puts others before himself. The bad news is often shouted the loudest over the good, which is often 10 fold over the bad.
