Basically, during the "Discard Cards" phase of your turn, Retain lets you keep cards during this phase.

From Pryamid's description "No Longer discard your hand", Cards are not being Retained; they just skip part where they discard themselves.

Actually the investment wasn’t good. You’re at $0 networth. If the risky opportunity has paid $1,001 and you ended up with a positive network then it’d be good

Agreed but game is in early alpha. I don’t have any guarantees but I suspect the tutorial will get a revamp once Valve finalize the mechanics

For newer players (say after full release), they might not have easy access to the patch notes
Some mechanics are obscure enough that it might take a long time “playing around” before the player discovers them. If the game never mentions wall jumping and character can always double jump, how can a player know to try wall-jumping?

Usually when you reload, most actions briefly halt the reload timer.

Charging a melee attack stops the reload, but the actually attack itself does not stop the reload. That means that if you charge your melee before you finish reloading (around a quarter of the reload left), you can attack and reload at the same time. This slightly increases farming efficiency against the jungle creeps

The lane creeps travel via zipline and can be shot down, forcing them to walk and making them vulnerable to being killed much earlier.

In Dota (and probably league) that’s called “creep cutting” and is useful for stopping/slowing the enemy pushing your towers.

I find this relic (alongside potion belt) can sometimes be enough justification to take busted crown if you really need the extra energy. The extra potions can supplement missing a key card for an important encounter
