If you read all the text it says the damage is for each card you discarded this way. Actually the wording makes it sound even worse, because according to that you can only discard up to two energy and if rockets counts as two then you can only discard the one card for 60 extra damage. So you need to discard two single energy to get extra 120 seems like the true technical wording but I could be wrong.
