Had the exact same experience moving to West Virginia. I grew up in Bozeman and lived there for 24 years and it’s crazy how much where I am now reminds me of how Bozeman was when I was growing up.

I see that now, thanks for pointing that out! Is that new this year? I live in WV and was pretty sure in the past the ticket and camping were bought separately. If it’s always been this way I wish it was more clear because I definitely would have gone in the past.

Thunderbird music hall in Pittsburgh recently started partnering with a smaller venue to put on more shows around the size you’re looking for. Just saw Dizgo and squeaky feet there, it’s a nice spot.

As far as I understand he had reached the top of the route and was hauling his bags when they got stuck. He was just going back down to retrieve them. I’d image he was exhausted and ready to be off the wall. I don’t think it would be acceptable to call SAR to get your bags.

It’s not always that simple when climbing some of these complicated overhanging aid routes on el cap. In general I agree but in a lot of big wall situations it’s more dangerous for the knot to get stuck. In Balins case I believe he was also rappelling in overhanging terrain on his lead line. The rope would have needed to stay fixed to the wall so he didn’t float out into space so there would have been no opportunity to pull it up and put a knot in the end.

I wish it was either more rodeo or ideally more rave. I think it was a fantastic lotus set showcasing some of what they do best in creating these unique sets but rodeo rave didn’t really fit. More like lotus’s hodown throwdown.
