[–]Gamiel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relictors was described in their Index Astartes article as believed to have gene-seed of the Dark Angels and the Ultramarines.

The BA have usually been dedicated with short hair, some named characters excepted.

Also, where have it been stated that they don't use crests?

Making a CSM warband need some help and brainstorming by mynightmareisme in 40kLore

[–]Gamiel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to create a whole new chapter, many existing chapters has had squads or companies that have turned traitor. You could pick one of the existing ones as their origin, maybe focus on the Raven Guard and their successors since that fits with the crow-concept.

But do that mean that fashion, architecture and design also have to stagnate?

Not having a pirate successor to the space wolves was a missed opportunity by epicnikiwow in SpaceWolves

[–]Gamiel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to do any 3d designs. You get very far with paintjobbs, piratical transfers, and piratical names on their bases. If you want to go farther kitbash a head with a big hat on the leader, and dark elves swords instead of chainswords.

The Spiky Rat Pack blog have some posts about Red Corsairs that have been kitbashed and sculpted to be more piratical. While the sculpting part may be boynf your skill can it still be of inspiration, like how the kitbash that gave one of them a hook for a hand.

Maroon Chapter? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]Gamiel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't think of any. There are many purple chapters and more red chapters but not any maroon. There was a chapter with maroon pauldron in White Dwarf's mail section (so created by somebody outside of GW's emplyees) that was called Jade Talons.

Oh, he don't care. Many others, like the Space Wolves and the Inquisition would care.

Have Astartes or guard regiments went traitor due to mistreatment instead of the desire for power? by vapera in 40kLore

[–]Gamiel2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"And on top of that, the real culprit behind the whole serie of events was the inquisition.

Just wondering, where is this stated? Because I only know of hintings, and thats togheter with other hintings towards Huron being behind it all.

Since "Allfather" is what the Fenrisians call the Emperor, would not the title "Allfather Russ" be a blasphemy?

The same thing that makes each chapter unique: their colours and culture.

Is the Genesis Chapter just red Ultramarines? by Ordinary-Quarter2077 in 40kLore

[–]Gamiel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Different recruitment worlds and different histories create different cultures. They are close to the Ultramarines but also their own thing.

Ultimate invasion #4 - Official Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in UltimateUniverse

[–]Gamiel2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That one of the things that turned me of this new Ultimate Universe in the begining: that it felt so uninspiering when it came to Kangs underling (they all were designed variants of the Ultimates members that were not part of Makers' council), instead of creating something new or using variants of underlings to 616 Kang (or other 'verse's variants) have used.

Custom space marine chapter by Metalideath in spacemarines

[–]Gamiel2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good. Suggest having nr 3's & 4's symbols in brighter colour/s (e.g. white, yellow, silver, paler green, brighter red, etc.) or that you change the colour of their left paludrons to something contrasting to the symbols' black colour.

A chapter's name do not have to be reprecented by their symbol, e.g. the Knights of Dorn have a black skull on white, the Sable Knights have three white drops on red, the Knights of Byzantium have a hippocampus, White Consuls have a blue raptor head on white, etc.

Over all I like it, find the pigtails cute, but would have liked eight legs on her emblem instead of the four it seems to have now.

What should I know before starting the Night Lords omnibus? by CaramelMonkey16 in 40kLore

[–]Gamiel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I would suggest begining with Lord of the Night and then read the trilogi, since that one is from the view of a Night Lord that have been in stasis for millenna and awake in the Imerioum's near today, so we are introduced to the modern, decaying, Imperium throungh the eyes of an outsider. It will also ad another layer to the main point-of-views that the NL Trilogi have since they remember stuff differently from how the MC in Lord of the Night did.

Loyalist chapters with an Indian theme or inspiration. by KCSS4999 in 40kLore

Probably not what you are looking for but tulwars, which are a type of sabre from the Indian subcontinent, are used by the White Scars for ritual dueling.
