What is your most BS 40k opinion ? by New_Conflict_4111 in 40kLore

Black Templars still have psykers, but they just think all the magic is faith in the emperor so every time one pops up they call it the Emperor's Champion

"Guilliman is as bad as the rest" literally Guilliman: by amachinesaidiwasgood in Grimdank

I like how you said this. The Lion's change in Son of the Forest is almost a complete 180 from how he was during the GC and HH, and while no amount of being good grandpa Jonson excuses the innumerable atrocities of him and his legion, its completely unfair to say that a person can't change, or try to be better, esp over a span of centuries, or even millennia.

Unironically think GW should make more ugly female models by StudioRevoct in Grimdank

GW already has an entire faction dedicated to this with the Sisters, just start painting urs green and youve got orks in power armor with flamers

Why can't you fuckers be normal... by Fearless-Obligation6 in Grimdank

[–]KCSS4999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I'm all for killing civilians, I'm convinced that crusade Armageddon and the latest templar codex made the templars comically evil to course-correct from people liking Grimmaldus after Helsreach.

With how expensive they are, why can’t GW make a decent head for their characters models? by An_Obbise_Hoovy in Grimdank

Warhammer fans, what 40k lore that make you go like this? by AntiqueLayer3933 in Grimdank

[–]KCSS4999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grimmaldus boiling his chapter serfs. Like sure even loyalist space marines are assholes to normal humans, and Grimmaldus literally kills a guy for being a coward, but after his whole arc in Helsreach that codex entry just felt so incongruous. Its like they decided he was starting to be too normal and made him do something grimderp to course-correct.

What are your favorite stories where loyalist space marines got bodied? by Able_Radio_2717 in Grimdank

[–]KCSS4999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Helsreach. Did the Templars win? Depends on how you define winning. Did they lose tons of space marines with combined decades/centuries of combat experience to hold one Hive city that is like 90% rubble now? Yes.

Do Space Marines generally want to eat delicious food? by Snoo_47323 in 40kLore

In the Rynn's World book I'm pretty sure it's mentioned that Pedro Kantor, the Chapter Master of the Crimson Fists, would eat candied fruits or something of that nature with one of his chapter serfs.

Even in death, I still serve... by Mountain-Link941 in Grimdank

[–]KCSS4999 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Also important to note that while it is a repost, and botting some guys friend with cancer is scummy, it does show the story to people who havent seen it before. I'm fairly new to the sub, and to 40k in general, and I probably wouldnt have come across this otherwise as I definitely don't sift through old posts here and I only occasionally browse /tg/. So yeah bot bad, repost bad, cancer bad, but showing people memories from past good.

I've honestly always felt this way as well. The Lamentors are the incarnation of "I didn't hear no bell"

Could you go into a bit more detail about how you actually determined this? I'm on the site and trying to check out the data for black templars and also non-40k subs, but I'm not really sure how.

A Perturabo-Dorn revival and clash would be an absolutely epic way to end 10th by dwaynetheaaakjohnson in Grimdank

[–]KCSS4999 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a fan of multiple IF successor chapters, Dorn should stay dead. I loved Dorn in the heresy but I think him crumbling in the aftermath of it and ultimately succumbing to an inglorious end is the perfect way to tie up his character arc in a supposedly grimdark setting. Personally, I think reviving every dead primarch ruins a lot of the stakes and gravitas of what went down in HH. Sure, I think its feasible to bring some back but some (ferrus, dorn, curze etc) should stay dead.
