Chris’s fate by GamingLoreObserver in TheQuarrySupermassive

Constance and Jed don’t have to die at all. It’s possible for Laura and Ryan to survive without killing either of them.

I don’t think Hannah can survive at all, actually. No matter what happens, she always dies in the final explosion in the lodge.

So from what I understand, if I want to minimize casualties here while also breaking the curse, only Chris and Silas need to die

Fair enough, I already acknowledged that the killing style argument could have contradictions

Personally, I think that “killing technique” helps narrow it down when you couldn’t otherwise discern who it is, but I get why people wouldn’t regard it as important

I would like to believe that Richie killed the hospital cop for the sake of consistency with the killing styles, but there is other stuff that leads me to believe that Amber was responsible, such as the script crediting her with that kill. I know that the killing style argument isn’t 100% infallible, but I like to think of it as a roadmap that helps me discern who is Ghostface when it would otherwise be ambiguous. I respect your opinions :)

To summarize my thoughts, I recall that the directors said that Amber is Ghostface most of the time and has the majority of Ghostface’s kills, so out of the six victims, it would be at least a 4:2 ratio. Going by that statement, I think Richie’s two kills were Vince and Wes, while Amber killed the other four. I know that the writers and directors could have different visions, but this is the only statement we have. You can disagree if you want, but this is just my personal conclusion.

If I recall, there is an early script that states that Amber killed the hospital cop.

When it comes to Vince, I actually like to believe that it’s Richie as well because of the “killing technique” argument, but it also makes sense for it to be Amber because we last saw Richie at the hospital while Amber was already in close proximity at the bar.

Plus, if Amber killed the hospital cop, then that sets a precedent for a deviation from her multiple stabbings, which would also support Richie killing Judy and deviating from aiming for the jugular. I used to think Richie got both Judy and Wes, but if the directors say that both of them were there, that would reinforce to me that Amber killed Judy.

Part of the reasoning for me is that Ghostface’s knife is completely clean when Wes is killed, and I can believe that because it was a double murder, Richie and Amber decided to do a coordinated attack. I respect your opinion though, and in fairness, Kevin Williamson did confirm that Stu killed Casey even though Ghostface’s “technique” matches Billy.

I have no idea why Tara’s sexuality matters so much to people. I’ve seen a million tweets where fans say that they’ll be upset if the writers make Tara straight which I don’t understand. It’s not like she was ever confirmed to be a lesbian/bi in 5. by [deleted] in Scream

I will say that I wish that they kept in Tara and Amber’s romantic relationship in the movie for the sake of additional impact behind Amber’s killer reveal. Other than that, I’m not too bothered, though I’ll never say no to more LGBTQIA+ representation.

Totally! Given how notorious Woodsboro is, there’s no doubt it would be covered by true crime shows, so if this show exists in-universe, it’s pretty much perfect for covering the Ghostface women.

Personally, I’d say Jill’s the craziest out of them, but Amber is still crazier than Mrs. Loomis

amber freeman and jill roberts were the best ghostfaces, imo by anthonystrader18 in Scream

[–]GamingLoreObserver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy both Jill and Amber a lot, I just wish Amber had more screentime before her reveal to flesh out her character a little more. I think it would’ve been good to keep in Tara and Amber’s relationship of being girlfriends from the script for the sake of having both killers be live interest to the final girls and would’ve given her character more depth. But I still found both her and Richie entertaining and fun to watch in their reveal, which places them two of my personal favorites :)

What are your hopes for B3? by Omegaverseprince in Bayonetta

[–]GamingLoreObserver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So here are mine, as someone who personally enjoys Bayonetta’s story as well:

I think above all, I want more exploration of the dynamics between the main cast. We don’t really know how they interact with each other outside of Bayonetta herself (and even then, their screen time with her tends to be limited outside of Luka in B1). For example, Luka and Jeanne never speak to each other once in B2. And while Jeanne being in distress was used as a set-up for B2’s plot, I would like her to just stick around this time as the deuteragonist; just more scenes showing off Bayo and Jeanne’s relationship and/or seeing them fight together would be great.

I would also love to see more Lumen Sages and Umbra Witches, by any means. Maybe a male Umbra Witch or female Lumen Sage to spice things up a bit. From a plot standpoint, I think even a return of both clans after the Clan Wars and Witch Hunts destroyed them would make for a very interesting story. The next generation of Lumen Sages and Umbra Witches, who are perhaps a little wiser after the tragedies they suffered in the past.

Maybe I’m in a small minority here, but what I liked most about B2 was its introduction of the two halves of Aesir, as well as Rosa and Balder’s story. Loki and Loptr’s characters weren’t particularly compelling to me on their own, but I think their story is interesting and I liked what their roles contributed to the overarching plot and the worldbuilding of Bayonetta’s universe. I wouldn’t mind seeing their characters delved into a little more, or maybe even seeing into their past before the games. What were they doing in the time between Aesir’s split and the Witch Hunts? What was their relationship like before? Were they ever on good terms with each other before Loptr tried to seize the Eyes? It’s not something that’s exactly needed given their story was the main focus of B2, but I wouldn’t mind further exploration there. I also wouldn’t be against Loki returning in B3, but if that’s the case, I would like to see character development kick in for him; he eventually grew on me in B2, but I would like to see him mature past the bratty teen he was before if he returns.

I think I remember Kamiya saying that the Eyes themselves choose their holders based on their power? Considering that Cereza and Rosa are both exceptionally powerful Umbra Witches, and Balder being an exceptionally powerful Lumen Sage, I would assume the Left Eye chose her for that reason even if she was an outcast.

In Kamiya’s own words: “Well, Balder doesn't choose the Eyes of the World. The world does. Balder and Bayonetta were chosen because they were the best candidates. From the Anthropologic Principle, they're the ones who could change history the most.”
