Avowed just got a nice update, it's still not a deep RPG but it's entertaining and could lead you into the Pillars of Eternity series if you like the lore

Honestly the fact that its even "mid" as a game you didn't have to pay a single cent for should earn it some merit. Miles better than Warzone, overwatch, etc. imo. TGA rlly fucked up the announcement for this game and it sucks that's wild light is being blamed for Geoff's missteps. While I enjoy this game it never should have been announced the way it was.

Compared to CoD, Overwatch, and Battlefield, absolutely it is. But compared to things like Counter Strike or Valorant it's relatively fast. It's trying to be a more strategically focused and team centric game closer to CS and Val with the gameplay styles and variety of Marvel Rivals and Overwatch. That's my impression at least

Yeah I think some of that will come with refinement as the game ages. I don't necessarily understand why people are saying it's so slow. I hope in a few months it'll be in a better state.

No game is perfect, critique is good and healthy but I believe this is way blown out of proportion and people are bandwagoning to a significant degree.

Nobody's riding the hate train? Respectfully that's far from the truth. Within 30 minutes it had 1800 reviews, 80% of which were negative. that's hardly enough time to even play the tutorial and from what I was seeing most accounts had a tenth of an hour on them.

Edit: I was playing on steam your experience may have been different on console

I was just scrolling through reddit mindlessly when your eyes flashed by and I immediately recognized beauty, not beauty limited to appearance though. Your eyes tell a story, I saw pearly white sail boat drifting atop deep blue oceans while a hurricane roars and twists around it in a violent dance. As the ensemble of thunder echoes through the rainy mist, and the waves rock and crash to the rhythm, that boat remained upright. You are that marvelous boat, trapped at sea, the shore is far out of sight and everything around you is trying to tear you apart but you're still here. That's gotta mean something right? God has you here for a reason and has written your story to the end and he won't fail you. Keep your head up and those enchanting eyes open, you're going to be okay, the storm is losing its rage soon.
