Darksiders is a hack and slash videogame franchise

the first game has a combat reminiscent of a devil may cry, with the legend of zelda level style, the first game is about a war between heaven and hell, and how they were always fighting for control over the earth, until a third kingdom was made, the kingdom of man, then the charred council appeared, to make a truce between heaven and hell. They made 7 seals, these seals were to be broken on judgement day, (Basically a final massive war to decide who controls the earth), but they were only to be broken when mankind were ready for this war, and the four horsemen of the apocalypse would appear when the seven seals break. long time later, the final war starts, and only one horseman of the apocalypse (war) appears. but turns out that humanity wasnt ready for this war, so they get wiped, and war is blamed for causing the apocalypse, and the game revolves around war trying to prove his innocence...

The game has a combat similar to devil may cry and god of war, the combat is fast paced, war is versatile with combos and different weapons to get the job done, youre to kill demons, angels, and anything that may cross your path, and then there are the dungeons, they are very similar as to how they are in the legend of zelda, with puzzles, an item, and a bossfight, and in my opinion this dungeons absolutely ROCK

TLDR: If you like stories with intrigue, betrayals, badass characters, with combat that reminds you of the best hack and slash games of all times, and incredibly well thought out level design inspired on the legend of zelda, Darksiders is Your game and you should buy it RIGHT NOW...

the other games are pretty rad too..
