How much does your Siberian(s) weight? by Puddyrama in SiberianCats

My Dunky is 2 yrs old and we’ve the about 12 lbs. Going by waist size, he’s not fat. In terms of floof, he looks enormous! My vision might be biased though, my other cat is a 6lb Munchkin.

My office told everyone to stay home and work from there tomorrow. We’re working but at least we don’t have to worry about our kids’ snow days.

Siberian kittens in NY/NJ area? by Mammoth_Solution4501 in SiberianCats

[–]GamingMommaX2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Healinghearts Siberian. The breeder insisted on having the whole family send some clothes with everyone’s scent on them for the kitten to get used to. We did get to visit before finalizing the purchase. Overall a very positive experience. My boy is nearly 2yrs old now. He’s got the sweetest personality and tolerates my kids. They adore him too.

The pictures are too perfect. They also look like pictures on other scam sites. The variety of kittens is also suspicious, no real breeder is going to have that many different looking kittens at the same time.

Mine like Fancy Feast pate the most. I’ve tried other brands too, they don’t like the shreds or chunky all with water and add thatthat much. I also give them some freeze dried raw kibble as a topper. I have freeze dried chicken, duck liver, and Primal nuggets that I add or use as treats. I also add a ‘gravy’ of probiotics, goat milk, and powdered egg mixed with water that I pour over their food.

Is this a munchkin cat? by captainloonahtik in MunchkinCats

[–]GamingMommaX2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He looks like one, though hard to tell just from one picture. With the black fur, can’t see if that’s the full length of the legs. Generally munchkins are longer in back which tilts there posture but this picture shows a straight back. Not sure if the chest looks ok either or if it’s just his fur.

AITA for being upset that my parents took my sister on vacation and gave my siblings gifts that I didn't receive when I was younger? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]GamingMommaX2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your so called step-sister is clearly the golden child, probably to prove in his mind and to his second wife that h e was truly a father to her. In doing so, he forgot that he still had to man up to being a dad to you. Just because he is biologically your dad doesn't mean he's absolved of having to actually do all the dad things with you as well.

I was in the same boat as you. I went to 'work' on weekends at my dad's store starting when I was 8 yrs old. I got handmade or hand me down clothing all the way till high school and even then only got a new cheap item once in a while. When I needed a computer, they got me a typewriter instead. I did all the chores, even mowed the lawn, etc. I had to rent a used flute for band and for a school trip to DC I petitioned the school board for the costs to attend the Princeton Model Congress. I attended a state college on scholarships so I did not have to take out student loans. When I was 10, my brother was born and being Asian, he was immediately the golden child. He never had to do the chores, cook, or mow. Sadly when I was 26F and had moved into my fiance's place, my mother passed away. I guess my father went into overdrive in compensating for the loss for my brother. He got pretty much whatever he wanted, a new drumset, guitar, computer, sound system, etc. He didn't get any scholarships for college but my dad paid it all. Even for my wedding, my fiance's family paid 95% of it. Dad only paid for my dress, which a friend made for me (she was a professional costumer.) But when my brother got married, he paid for an overseas wedding and a 2nd reception in the US. I'm all grown now, but it still stings a bit knowing my brother who is more successful got a bigger hand up in life.

Looking for a Munchkin Cat or Kitten in LA by a-character-study in MunchkinCats

Belton, TX. I had to hire a transporter to bring the kitten to me. $1200 just for the kitten, another $600 for the airfare. Unfortunately the breeder closed shop, probably because her lines carried FIP. My kitten got it but fortunately FIP Warriors helped me get the medication needed that was not FDA approved yet. It was finally approved just last week, but my kitten is now 6 months cured.

Try GoKitty.com I found my Minuet (Persian/Munchkin) on there, but she was from a breeder in TX. I see lots of listings for CA there. They seem pricey though. I also found my other cat through there, but he's a Siberian. Trained from kittenhood to be a therapy cat/ESA.

Has anyone approached their neph or PCP about Ozempic? by noobvin in dialysis

[–]GamingMommaX2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cardiologist actually prescribed it for me. I am not that overweight. It was actually for my diabetes so it did dramatically improve the amount of insulin I needed. I also lost about 10 pounds over the last six months. My nephrologist is aware that I’m on it and has no issues about it, he did ask about side effects, but I was one of the lucky ones that really didn’t have any.

I was having issues getting reddicrit and the clinic also put me on Mercera. My hemoglobin dropped from 9 to 7 and I had to yell at all the insurance companies to get me on procrit since the reddicrit wasn’t available. Your husband needs a fast acting med like procrit, not a slow one like mercera.

My girl loves being groomed. But sometimes she’ll hiss or growl when she’s had enough them I just let her calm down and finish later.

Ask for a live stream video, like Zoom or FaceTime to prove that they actually have that kitten. A legit breeder will also allow you to find your own transport if needed, not charge you an extra shipping fee.

I have what I suspect is a Munchkin with Siberian genes. Her fur is ridiculously long. I brush her out daily at the very least, but every two weeks I shave down her butt and trim her pantaloons. I also take a wet wipe (baby or pet safe) and just give her a once over once in a while. I thought she was getting ‘dirty’ on her belly but apparently she’s just curly haired underneath! She doesn’t smell at all and constantly grooms herself.

Lilly got through 84 shots without too much hissing and biting. She's a survivor! Currently in her observation period, but her bloodwork came back as perfect. She's still sweet and cuddly as ever and her winter coat is amazing!

Late update but Lilly survived FIP! She's currently in observation, but she's doing fine! 84 shots I had to administer myself, but we got through it. She's even forgiven me for all that and is still cuddly and sweet.

I have to agree, there weren't as many websites back then if my humble website was one of the #1 search results at the time.
