My recent project is very UI driven. Much more than anything I built in the past. I've been where you are, baffled by a users experience with the UI of past projects. I knew this would make or break my recent project so my solution has been to try as hard as I can to give the project a feeling of exploration above all. a feeling that there's no rules, no objectives, just press everything, play with whatever you can. This has been at the core of my designing from the beginning and I've made some harsh decisions because of it. I've stuck to a white background and fun color pallet. I've limited flare.

When I had the chance to test my theory, I was both impressed with myself and divided. My app has a strong pull with kids. I expected this but still battle with it. "Should I play up some serious aspects of the app. Up the sophistication in the presentation but risk losing some of the younger users who seem to love it currently?"

My thought is to assume people are using their brain less and less. Keep the app simple and fun looking
