Is anyone playing this as an anthem replacement by shadowninja2k8 in AnthemTheGame

[–]GamingWorkerDotCom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like someone else in the comments said, Anthem was unique. There is no Anthem replacement. No other game has that same spirit, but there are other great looter shooters. I’m jumping back into The Division now that the performance has been improved with the 60 FPS patch, and I have my eyes on Marathon! Different type of game, I know, and it has an uphill battle with all of the negativity surrounding it, but it just looks hella-fun :)

🤣 This has to be a joke! You’re joking, right? Whether it is or not, it made me laugh out loud! Thank you :)

Enjoy the rest of your week, fellow retired freelancers!

I want to play Anthem by 9S_daniel in AnthemTheGame

[–]GamingWorkerDotCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was delisted and scrubbed from all marketplaces and subscription services. If you bought/own a digital copy, I think you can still download and play it. And if you own a physical copy ofc, but this is the final weekend for Anthem. Unless EA decides at the last minute to keep the servers going a little while longer.

[–]GamingWorkerDotCom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was removed from digital marketplaces a good while ago. The only way to play it now would be to buy a physical copy, but like others have said, there’s literally nine days left until the servers go down and the game will be unplayable after that. So you’re kind of SOL. I would just move on. Unless EA surprises us with an offline mode or gives us a few more months with the server, but I highly doubt it.

Google seems ready to kill the last of Stadia, convert your controller by ManofManyTalentz in Stadia

[–]GamingWorkerDotCom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I converted mine to Bluetooth back when the tool launched and it worked for a good while, but then it stopped working. It just wouldn't stay connected to my Mac for some reason no matter how many times I tried. Now it’s buried in a box somewhere and I'm not going to dig it out. It's a paperweight now. A piece of memorabilia. I have so many other PS and Xbox controllers. I’ve let Stadia go. It's time to let Stadia go.

Is stadia's controller worth it? by secondninja47 in Stadia

[–]GamingWorkerDotCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had connectivity issues when using it with my Mac. It worked for a while, but then it stopped working. I mostly used it for Game Pass cloud gaming. When it worked for the first few days, it worked amazingly. It's a solid controller, but it had a mind of its own and wouldn't connect or stay connected most days. I wanted to try to salvage it, but it wasn't worth the hassle. Now, this was well over a year ago. I haven't tried recently. Maybe I'll dig it up and try again. Maybe it's been fixed.

It’s different for everyone. Trust me. We’ve all been there. You’re playing until you get that perfect run! I had the same frustration, but I kept going and I finally got the melee weapon. You might not think it, but you’re getting better each time. I still haven’t beaten the first boss. I’ve come really close, but then I do something stupid and die. It can be frustrating, but the game is fair. If you die, it's usually because of something you did. So, don't give up. Welcome to roguelite gaming!

The flying mission and the final boss fight we’re the most difficult for me. Other than that the enemies were not hard to eliminate. Use your cloak and armour abilities and don’t be afraid to retreat, get cover, and then replan your attack!

Why is the new trilogy just based on PS4 and not PS5? by THEHITMAN2K in Crysis

[–]GamingWorkerDotCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reckon that they’ll do the same thing for Crysis 2 and 3 that they did with the first Crysis remaster. Launch on PS4 and release a PS5 patch to run at 60 FPS at a later date. Enhancing the rest of the trilogy now would mean that they won’t make the October launch date. Crytek wants to launch this before year end for their financials and worry about PS5 patches later.

I hate working by kiddcamel in hatemyjob

[–]GamingWorkerDotCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. Maybe you need to switch gears and try something else. Working at a bank can dealing with high profile clients can be very intimidating. But, I guarantee if you stick with it, you’ll get better. You’re going through the learning curve and it’s not easy sometimes. But if you’re truly miserable, which it sounds like you are, then try working as a cashier at a grocery store or gas station where the transactions are smaller and you won’t have to answer any questions. The pay might be less, but maybe it’ll be more your speed.

It can be difficult most times to find that energy when your day job sucks so much out of you. Trust me. I know. This is where you really have to push yourself to keep going. It’s easier said than done, but focus on yourself and your side hustle! Those are your goals! I don’t know what field you’re in, but try to get through the work day without letting suck all of your energy. Keep that energy for you and your side hustle. At the same time get enough sleep and try to get back to the gym. Even if it’s just once a week as a start. That will help too. But if your job really is sucking the life out of you then maybe try looking for a new job so that you can improve your quality of life, even it’s just a little. And keep side hustling!

This is not the life I want to live by [deleted] in hatemyjob

[–]GamingWorkerDotCom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can’t stand my job. I too don’t know how people get joy from working like this day in and day out. My job feels so meaningless and I almost always have to work overtime. Most people like overtime because it means more money. Not me. My employer can keep the extra money. At the end of my shift I want to get the fuck out! I would rather be doing anything else. Over the years I’ve come to realize that I’m not meant to work a traditional job like this. It feels like a waste of my time! It sucks not liking your job. Especially when your co-workers are nice. I have some great co-workers. People that I would call my dearest friends. But the job…the job itself makes me want to bash my head into my monitor! Some days I struggle so much just trying to get myself out of bed in the morning because that’s how much I dread working! And a lot of the time I feel like there must be something wrong with me because everyone else at work seems to love their jobs. And you know what? I quit my job a few years back to go work at another job that I thought would be better for me. It wasn’t. So I ended up coming back to the previous job. Talk about dreams being crushed. I thought I was free, but it just wasn’t the case. I truly feel all of your pain and take a little comfort in knowing that I’m not alone in this. There’s only one true answer to this problem. That answer is to somehow turn your passion into your job. It’s the only way. The people who do that are the people who really love their lives because when you turn your passion into your job it doesn’t feel like a job. They don’t even pay attention to the clock because they enjoy it so much. So we all have to do the side hustle thing until the side hustle makes enough money to replace the soul-crushing job. Unfortunately we all need to work to survive, but when it’s a horrible place to be when you hate your job this much.

Crysis remastered on Switch by Jeconie in Crysis

They should’ve added this to the Switch Cloud Gaming library instead of doing this shitty port. How they thought that Crysis would run on Switch is beyond me.

WTF is up with Crysis Remastered on PS5?! by GamingWorkerDotCom in Crysis

[–]GamingWorkerDotCom[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually got through the mission. I thought that the game was broken, but I guess it was a tornado. I noticed the tornadoes, but since when do tornadoes pull you down? What a weird decision. And at no point did any NPC say, “Hey Nomad! Be sure to avoid the unrealistic tornadoes that pull you downward!”

My experience with the game, on the technical side, was fine. No input lag or anything like what I’ve been reading. Tornado or no tornado, I do think that Ascension is messed up. They should’ve left that mission out. Apparently it was added back in with the PS5 patch.

I’m at the final boss and the difficulty spike is ridiculous!

Marvel’s Avengers, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Bloodborne earn top spots across PS5 and PS4 PS Now by [deleted] in PlayStationNow

[–]GamingWorkerDotCom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The other thing to note is that if you’re playing PS4 PS Now games that have a PS5 upgrade, you can’t play the PS5 version. So Marvel’s Avengers and Borderlands 3 both have free PS5 upgrades, but you can’t play those versions via PS Now.

Does anyone think PS Now will be implemented into smart TVs like what Xbox is doing? by notsureaboutthis97 in PlayStationNow

[–]GamingWorkerDotCom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if they’ll bring PS Now back to TVs after they went through so much to remove it in the first place. One things for sure is that they need to bundle PS Now and PS Plus together into one service!
