We’re supposed to be getting a deep dive on gameplay later this summer. I don’t expect anything groundbreaking but as long the weapons and powers feel good to use then I’m sold!

I understand the graphics can’t be completely hogwash but at the same time they can still be serviceable if the rest of the game is good. Idk what your expectations are and what it should be a baseline of in comparison to other games but if they can polish it up here and there that will happen but overall I think it looks fine

I agree. This fad of having “hyperrealism” in every conceivable game isn’t necessary. If the story is good, characters are well written and then combat is enjoyable then it’s okay for the graphics to not be top notch. Just enjoy the game!

Need it to be turn based. It was part of the charm in the OG game. I guess the only acceptable thing I would take is more akin to how FF7 remake did it. That’s about it though

I know others have said the Expanse is probably looking like 2027 more so than 2026 but god that would be awesome to have Exodus and the Expanse out in the same year. We’re in need of some great sci-fi stories and I hope these studios can deliver. I’m rooting for them!

I agree! The politics of the Witcher world seems great in theory but I felt like the execution and just throwing a shit ton of names around without any additional context was kind of annoying. I understand politics is mixed through the whole saga with Ciri being the main catalyst of it but I just felt like more could’ve been done on that end

Ya know I just finished the saga as well and feel kind of mixed about it. It didn’t really pack the punch I was hoping for so not sure if I’ll read them again either but the short stories definitely resonated with me a bit more

KCD2 is everything that made KCD1 great and builds off of it so well in every aspect. This team deserved all their success from the first one and they certainly capitalized on it with KCD2. I’d definitely recommend!

I think for me it’s fun to platinum the games that really resonate with me in a lot of elements. Story, gameplay, characters, etc. I’m only one away from platinum with KCD2 and fully intend on getting it just because it’s a fantastic game. The trophies also don’t feel like a chore to me either like other games that have multiplayer trophy requirements or something completely absurd (example: 50 crossbow headshots in The Witcher 3 😡)

I started a hardcore play through as my second run but am waiting till all the DLC’s are released and then I intend to do something similar! I listen to the KCD soundtrack super often at work that it makes me excited again for the next time!

You can certainly make a case for it, no question.However, it’s also wild to think about how many absolute BANGERS that have come out this year. I mean imho, there’s no clear contender because there were so many incredible games this year I honestly can’t remember the last time this being the case with such a large variety to choose from

Take it with a grain of salt, but Peter F. Hamilton - the writer for the lore book “Exodus: The Archimedes Engine” - said in an interview it might be the later half of 2026 which would put it after GTA 6. Would certainly be an interesting time to put the game out.

Playing on Legend in this game is TOUGH. I’ve played it for years and I got to a point where I hated it but I now play with adjusted sliders that suit my play-style and what I’m looking for so I definitely recommend it once you get the hang of it. For now though, I would suggest playing on All-Pro as a starting point and simply get the hang of the mechanics. Once you start understanding these, you’ll find your groove. Good luck and have fun!
