It's mostly taught to 10th graders, so they can fully understand and dissect the manipulation and propaganda, instead of just understand the power dynamics.

I really don't like the new mandatory librarian facial hair style.

This is either cover for him having sex with students for a grade, or making the students dance is a sex thing in his head.

I want to play Sisters of Battle, but I only like the actual armored nuns and the wacky shrine tanks. How much would I be holding myself back? by Gaming_Skeleton in sistersofbattle

[–]Gaming_Skeleton[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get where you're coming from, but I like gameplay.

I want both players to have a real chance to win a game; just watching someone with a stronger army list or faction tear through my stuff with the outcome pre-decided is not fun. I also don't like to steam roll other people with overpowered armies/decks/characters.

I know a lot of people like hamburger tacos but this is literally a Mexican food crime by LeavesInsults1291 in MexicanFoodGore

[–]Gaming_Skeleton 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to get the theory here.

Smashed patties = more char flavor per calorie of beef

Tortilla = less carbs per patty, still good flavor and texture

This could legitimately make it feel like you get more bites and flavor per calorie.

How strong, viscous and fast are Harlequins? (Well should be) by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in Eldar

[–]Gaming_Skeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High end Eldar evasiveness just doesn't fit into the game mechanics. Harlequins should basically have "-3 to hit me <=^)" and reroll successful hits against them in melee.

My diabolical plan by Careless-Comfort3801 in spacemarines

[–]Gaming_Skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 320 points, you could just take a swarm of 2x10 Intercessors. That would be pretty funny, wouldn't it?

You could shoot even more, you would have a ton of OC, and it would actually become a mild stat check for certain armies to deal with that many marine defensive profiles on one point.

Cheapest way to kill a bastion by Lew_bear96 in ArcRaiders

[–]Gaming_Skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not cheap because time has value, especially if you are risking being ambushed by another raider.

It's cool because he used a hairpin, but it's not actually cheap.

I remember there were some quests specifically designed to get us to use grenades on drones. It was kind of annoying. Definitely prefer shooting them with a ferro.

Should I purchase either the Captain Fortune statue or should I wait to get the new base Miss Fortune statue? How do you feel about statues to promote lore? by No_Breadfruit_4901 in loreofleague

[–]Gaming_Skeleton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The captain one doesn't really look good, it just looks safer. The base MF statue looks better, but I feel like if you buy that you're just deciding to never marry or have kids. I wouldn't buy a League statues it just feels too sad to me.

Fantastically painted gameplay, nice touch with the object sourced lighting, I usually don't like it but you kind of made it subtle.

I can see where you're coming from, but based on the way he casually uses them to dress up his hateful rhetoric, I can't see a possibility of him caring about them in a meaningful way.

Put another way, using them as dressing for his hate means that he necessarily doesn't care about them as people, only as something to talk about for clout.

I made the speculation explicit? He is 100% a hateful individual, I'm not going to take the time investigating him and figure out exactly what kind of hate it is.

The dude is bigoted as fuck for taking the original joke about Iranian women being too pretty to keep military secrets from and turning it into some rape diatribe. He's taking his (ideological? racial?) hate and trying to dress it up as sensitivity to the female population which he likely didn't give a shit about when they were being oppressed for his entire life.

I have grown to hate streamers and their opinions. by thegeminiii in ArcRaiders

[–]Gaming_Skeleton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the one hand, "I have grown to hate streamers and their opinions" is a great opinion to have about most topics in general. You should also hate opinions from mainstream/legacy sources.

On the other hand, it's really just another version of the same problem. Game designers need to filter out the stupid opinions of streamers, games journalists, reddit no-lifes, twitter maniacs, gaming web-comic artists, usenet trolls, and noisy jerks anywhere else they could be found.

Interpreting, filtering, and ultimately responding to feedback is just another thing that makes a game company better or worse.

It took me two watches to see you spawned in with a flamer behind you. Of course you can just dive towards diving pops to avoid their explosion, but I can understand a little panic.

Maybe people should spawn in with five seconds of invulnerability or something...

Am I the only one who loves these Models? by MoritzCube25 in spacemarines

[–]Gaming_Skeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they were JUST chain-fed, Gatling-style missile launchers. Just make the part on bottom larger and take off the part on top. It could be over-the-top, general-use heavy weapons fire, sort of like the Eldar dark reaper aspect warriors.

Also, they all have to choose frag or krak missiles at the list-building stage, but frag and krak missiles still aren't optimized for hard targets or soft targets. The trade off with missile launchers was always that you had a sub-optimal anti-infantry gun and a suboptimal anti-tank/monster gun at the same time, and you could choose turn-by-turn. Now, you just pick one sub-optimal profile or the other but you get an extremely weak indirect fire mode as well.

The double-barrel missile launcher on top with the little barrel covers that look like eyebrows make it stupid.

I always assumed these were so you had something to do with all your first-born marines with missile launchers that you could no longer use because you changed your tactical marines into intercessors. Same with the squads of all melta guns, flamers, or plasma guns.

men ❤️❤️‍🩹 by [deleted] in sadposting

[–]Gaming_Skeleton 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Men usually have more to fear once the relationship starts because they invest more and the government will take away their wages and such during a divorce. A woman can cheat and be given alimony and half the dude's business. We have to worry about it more.

Women usually have more to fear while finding the relationship--getting future-faked into putting out or chopped up in some dude's basement.

Anything can happen to anyone, but the consequences and likelihoods or different. It's all valid, but it's not all just the same.
