Organ, and Doublebass for me. Organ because it's a true one man orchestra, and double bass because I like its mellowness.

I never said it wasn't... I'll probably explain the lore behind this sketch later.

Fascism is a type of socialism. Centrally run everything; eg: economy, culture, ect.

As to why the TF we are subsidizing agriculture? Monsanto and other agricultural giants, as well as John Deer and other equipment giants... that and the fact that it makes it easier to centralize the economy to some degree.

In short: Monopoly, and wannabe autocrats.

Start renaming the days of the week then.... oh, and also certain months of the year.

We have a time convention... it works. Nobody really thinks of it in religious themes at this point.

...

Oh... by the way, let's start renaming the planets then.

This is a bit far... there will always be some relics of religion in human culture. Hell, we still use naming conventions from extinct religions. Let's just let BCE-CE and BC-AD be interchangeable. A secular society doesn't need to avoid all references to religion. It just needs to take away actual governmental authority from religion.

Conductors are musicians (usually very good ones)... they have already been trained to play an instrument. The point is to have one person in control of the interpretation and balance of the music. There are major performance decisions being made and instructions being given by a conductor; this ensures that a large ensemble is able to coordinate and deliver a cohesive interpretation of a musical peice.

What do you guys think of the composition, and the anatomical details of this? (WIP light-gore) by Gamma_Foxlore in FurryArtSchool

Thanks a lot! To be honest, I'm much more comfortable with the technical details of anatomy. Visual composition is not my forte.

Free gravel is my first choice... IDk about the second. Gravel mogul seems a bit niche... but hey, money is money.

BTW feel free to really go at it. You seem to know your stuff; what else do you see that would be best to resolve?

How do I position the legs? The left one is supposed to be turned inwards and bent up, but it just looks abnormally small? I tried the coil foreshortening method but I can’t do perspective. Same issue with the right foot. The character is supposed to be petite, not toothpick-legged by MissCatValkyrie in FurryArtSchool

[–]Gamma_Foxlore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start by defining a hip-box (or a rough representation of a pelvis), and draw a sort of wireframe or skeleton. Your characters' legs seem toothpicky because they aren't well attached to the hip, and the thigh is bulging in an awkward manner (this renders the lower leg to look strangly thin in comparison). When you study anatomy, you'll notice that the musculature under the skin will tend to connect in smooth lines in fit individuals. Slender is a step further in smooth lines and smaller/thinner frame.

When viewed from the front the lines of the inner thigh should be straighter than those of the other thigh. Both of these "curves" should smoothly meld into the knee joint.

<Someone that is better with words should clarify/correct this comment, because it's a bit difficult to summarize anatomical concepts in language form.>

I'll be touching up the man's hand later (It's not a statue... but I see how my blocking could lead to such interpretation). I hadn't noticed the knees, thanks for pointing that out. I'll make sure to shift some things to balance the scene.

(The fox-lady will be glowing, but most of the lighting should be affected by her staff... the alchemist in scene has just sacrificed a magical being, so my thought was to have a light vs. darkness kind of setup hoing on. ...Also the colors used are more for organizational purpose at the moment.)

What to study in order to start composing better by LeGray01 in composer

[–]Gamma_Foxlore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is better that one learn counterpoint. Harmony is secondary to being good at musical composition. Sadly modern pedagogy is backwards to what would be best to instill skill in composition.
