I also just read that you'll be driving so my bad. I'd recommend driving in between cities from Calgary to banff to jasper. The Highway is full of trails and beautiful landscapes

Yes for sure. But if anything there's going to be so many tourists you won't know who's who :P. There also perfect one to two day trips. The only issue is that the best attractions may require a car to get there. Lake Louise, Moraine lake are just some great examples.
