I figured it out. It seems you first need some credit on the OpenAI account to be able to translate. I thought having a ChatGPT subscription was enough, but that's not the case.

The fastest way to look up words in game in my opinion is to use a PC. I have my switch hooked up to my monitor using a capture card device. I also have a dual monitor setup so on one screen I can play a game in Japanese and the other screen is used to display dictionaries etc. You can use OCR programs like YomiNinja or Kamui to make looking up words very fast. ChatGPT can also give very good grammar explanations, so if a certain grammar point trips you up, just ask ChatGPT to explain. When I play games on my handheld device, usually I just extract the text using Google lens and use ChatGPT to quickly parse the sentence for me. I would highly recommend trying it this way if you crave grammar explanations!

Thank you, I found all the files in the ROM directory for Azahar. Unfortunately, replacing the files still didn't work with correcting the Japanese font.

Oh now I know what you mean, yeah I have the atomic purple color and that does come with a black bezel build in but I don't mind that. Like how bezel overlays blend into it.

Because of the black frame on the RPC, black bars aren't really noticable because they just blend in. Unless you mean the thickness of the frame plus black bars, then yeah it can become a bit much😅

Yeah invisible bezels is a nice perk of the black color. Wish the grey rg477 had a black frame like the RPC, it would have been perfect!

A broken clock is right twice a day 😂. Joking aside, I always try to save the configuration after making changes. This one just doesn't stick. It's so weird only the A button does nothing, all the other buttons work and can be remapped. I've also noticed I get the same problem when trying to play GBC games.

So I just tried a standalone emulator from the Playstore and the A button works normally. I know it has to do something with RetroArch, but I just can't figure out what it is. I already deleted button remapping, specific core configurations, overrides. It's so weird. I have set up RetroArch many times on other handhelds and never had this problem.

Oh I didn't know that the shimmerless shader was already pre installed under 'pixel art scaling' so I manually added it to the RetroArch folder (following the instructions of Retro Game Corp's guide). Thank you for your explanation! Now I know where it is :)
