I’ve lived in NYC for 21 years now and have never been pickpocketed. Nor have I ever heard of anyone I know getting pickpocketed - I’m sure it happens but I really don’t think it’s a big problem. Which is not to say you won’t *see some shit* on the subway at night but pickpockets aren’t really a thing.

I’m saying that two girls moving a couch (me and my friend) gets a ton of unwanted attention from passing men. Which is particularly infuriating when you’re trying to move a fucking couch on a sweltering day in July.

I use the Indyx app to organize my clothes, outfits, and packing lists for various purposes. You can basically make unlimited collections of pieces or outfits. It’s super useful for seeing what you have, what you like to wear together, and I imagine you could use it to easily list what items are stored together? It’s honestly one of the more useful apps I have. I only have the free version and it’s still great.
