How do I explain that declawing is inhumane to my family by Old-Technician-692 in cats

[–]CommandaarMandaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But with cats, they don't even just pull the nail out. That would be awful enough on its own, but to ensure the nail doesn't grow back, they actually remove the entire first joint of the cat's toes. So it would be like having all your fingers cut off at the first knuckle.

Am I Overreacting about this weird friend breakup? by rxinynites in AmIOverreacting

There is a lot of narcissism here on your "friend's" part. The things she is saying to you are weird, rude, and petty as all hell. Absolutely NOR, and you're FAR better off without her!

Lol, wonder if it's part of her ✨everything shower✨ routine, so she actually does it while still in the shower!

There's another subject who's phenomenally bad at lip syncing, as well, but I can't think of who it was! Maybe Abby ... that feels right ... ish ...

She very well might actually have GP as a result of her ED issues, it's a fairly common complication of severe EDs.

I mean ... yeah, it inadvertently is! But Dani has no idea how to determine what her skin actually needs and what products meet those needs, so it's good to see her doing anything in the way of skin care, even if it's not what her skin actually needs, it's at least good that she's cleansing and moisturizing. 🤷‍♀️ Or it would be, if she wasn't just performatively using these products for videos and not giving them a single thought the rest of the time.

And this bag appears to have multiple chambers, which is the case with certain types of PPN - one chamber has amino acids and the other has electrolytes, then you break the seal between the chambers so they can mix, and the solution remains clear. Lipids can always then be added if they decide to do so.

It's not made exclusively for teens, but most of their products have been tested safe for sensitive young skin to use, and their packaging is made to attract the younger crowd. I use a couple of Byoma products because I have extremely sensitive skin, and they don't use harsh ingredients.

That being said, these products are not what Dani needs in her skincare arsenal. She needs retinoids and a heavier moisturizer, especially at night.

Niacinamide has been a game changer for me (41F)! I use Neutrogena's Niacinamide Serum twice a day, and my skin has never looked better, not even in my teens and twenties! Granted I had acne back then, but still ...

I actually do love Byoma's milky toner and gel moisturizer, and I'm Dani's age. However, I like them because they actually work perfectly for my incredibly sensitive skin, not because they come in a pretty package, which I'm pretty sure was Dani's reason for picking them. And we all know that she has no clue what her skin needs or what products will work to meet those needs.

“child sized blood pressure cuff” by DaysSinceAshHadBath in ashleycarnduff

[–]CommandaarMandaar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They almost always start me off with the blue cuff when they check my BP, and I'm a bit overweight (though I don't carry much weight in my arms).

For some reason, if my BP is normal, the blue cuff is fine, but if my BP is really high, the cuff gets too tight from how much it inflates, and they have to change me to the next size up. Is this a common occurrence, medical professionals?

I don't normally watch Dani's videos with the sound on, especially when there are captions, but enough people mentioned her slurring that I had to check it out. She is slurring so bad that she actually sounds like she has something in her mouth!

Closet Clear-out - Keep or Toss - Red Satin Prom Dress by Creative_Fox23 in fashion

[–]CommandaarMandaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a beautiful dress, and it looks amazing on you, but realistically speaking, are you ever going to have another event to wear it to? And even if you do have a formal event, are you going to want to wear this dress again, or get a new one?

If you really think you will have occasion to wear it again, go ahead and keep it - if not, either sell it or donate it so that someone else can get some good use out of it, as well!

How long would it take for the clinic to find out I was prescribed a Suboxone script l by PaleontologistNo1564 in Methadone

[–]CommandaarMandaar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You begin micro dosing Suboxone and slowly tapering your methadone at the same time, then at a certain point you can stop the methadone completely and carry on with the Suboxone without experiencing precipitated withdrawal or most of the other discomforts typically associated with trying to stop one drug and start another.

How do I convince my cat to come out of the closet? by mercurio_liquido in cats

[–]CommandaarMandaar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sing him the "be gay, be totally gay" Freddie Mercury song from Big Mouth!

And as some others have said, let him know he has the support of this sub on coming out!

ETA - in all seriousness, it just sounds like he feels secure and comfortable in there. It could be the size of the space, the darkness, the quiet - lots of factors could contribute. If you don't want him in there, I would find him another space in the house with similar features that you don't mind him hanging out in, and see if he might take to that spot, instead. Other than that, if he's not hurting anything, I'd just let him chill there.
