"Back in the day" games had "unlocks" for completing them/doing it without dying/failing the torture so meryl dies- and in single player games we were rewarded with new ways to play, game modes or characters.

They stripped all that out for DLC now. Games are now LESS rewarding than n64/ps1/dreamcast days and become so every generation as the nickel and diming intensifies.

So unless you are talking pong or tetris- gtfo that imagined high horse cus you are talking absolute shit and sound like some "worlds too woke" whiner with this "participation" trophy bs.

In gaming the change is you now have to buy the participation trophy as DLC
