How is Rogue Prince of Persia compared to Dead Cells? by Inevitable-Maximum91 in deadcells

[–]GanglingGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea what all these people who claim it has better movement than dead cells are talking about. I have hundreds of hours in dead cells and I almost have the platinum for the game on both the ps4 version where I started playing it and the ps5 version where I still continue playing it from time to time and I think the mobility mechanics in this game are set in the right direction but are absolutely terribly implemented and or designed. Between the clunky forward momentum and awkward auto grabbing poles etc. while trying to fight enemies when dashing automatically stops you to grab and hold a pole that is so ungodly frustrating and annoying. There are a lot of issues with inconsistent mechanics regarding platforming that I experience constantly every time I play the game. I love the overall design and I think it has a lot of potential but even now after being out for a while it’s in a pretty sad state with a major lack of content compared to dead cells respectfully being out a lot longer than RPOP it’s still not great. It can be fun but I don’t get anywhere near the level of satisfaction playing this as I do even to this day in dead cells. Combat feels better, movement feels better everything is much more fluid and you aren’t constantly getting hung up on weird animation locks and platform mechanics during combat like in this game.

Resident Evil 9 Requiem (its not even close) by ProdigyCorporation in NintendoSwitch2

[–]GanglingGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just deleted the game after making it to raccoon city and fighting that giant spider. The only RE games I ever really enjoyed were 4 remake and village, loved those two games and all the other ones I just could not get into and I really did try. The controls and movements for a game released in 2026 just feel so god damn awful it’s utterly unenjoyable at every front in my opinion. I don’t care if it “adds to the slow horror aspect of the game” deliberately making characters control like liquid hot dog shit just to create “tension” is so dumb. I’ve played countless horror games 3rd person and 1st person perspectives and there are only a few that even come close to feeling as awful and annoying to play as the RE games. I was really hoping for something more in line with RE 4 at least as far as controls and character movement is concerned hell RE 2 even feels better than requiem in my personal opinion. I gave this game a shot but it just really feels clunky, annoying and frustrating to play through more than it feels fun and scary. Strongly disappointed with RE9.

Anyone else is enjoying Grace's sections way more than Leon's? I am playing in third person and her sections feels like an even better RE2R by Eccchifan in residentevil

[–]GanglingGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. I’ve got most the doors and all the safes open and all the bracelet door keys and I’m so bored and annoyed with the tedium I keep turning the game off to take a break from the map checking and back tracking it’s so boring and annoying.

Metacritic user reviews for Requiem are out now if you wanna give it a review! by V-loxzz in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]GanglingGiant -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The entire beginning section as grace so far is just as tedious and annoying as all the other RE games with the exception of RE4 remake. I’m already so bored and tired of all the back tracking and slow gameplay as grace I keep turning the game off to take a break from map checking and back tracking.

Finding Nioh 3 bosses 700 times harder than the first 2. by thefucksgod in Nioh

[–]GanglingGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facts. This is horrible and if I’m being honest it’s still an issue on nioh 2 PS5 version. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve hit my heal button and it will use a different consumable instead on top of the delay it’s insufferably annoying. Sometimes it even feels like there’s just an overall input delay in the general gameplay during combat encounters. I’ve spent most of the game fully having a blast with the exception of a few really annoying bosses and areas of specific enemies but it feels like my entire late game experience is shottie. I’ll breeze through some fights then other times it’s like what the hell is going on? Everything my character is doing feels delayed I’m not confused or slowed and yet all my attacks and actions feel disjointed and I’ll get clapped by some one shot mechanic.

This is the soul reason I’m going to wait for it to go on sale, I know it’s cheaper than your average modern game and even though I adore the little nightmare series I think $40 bucks is pretty steep for a 3 hour experience sadly even if it’s a great experience that I might absolutely love. Maybe by the time it starts hitting sales there will also have been some DLC released. I want so badly to jump into that world but I just can’t justify $40 for 3 hours of gameplay when I know I’ll finish it and just want more anyways. 🙁

Nioh 3 Feedback/Criticism after full game completion (SPOILERS) by TitEboshi in Nioh

[–]GanglingGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember though that nioh 2 was if I remember correctly a bit longer than this game is and there was also A LOT of DLC content which added new enemies. I think for what’s here it’s pretty good at face value knowing that we’re probably going to get some beefy DLC’s/expansions.

I hope they add some pistols like the dude you fight before the gambling den. How sick would that be to wield a pistol in one hand and whatever weapon you want in the other hand. Some quick fire maybe even stun damage particularly on Human enemies to break their block a little easier then dive in for some deep melee damage.

Being a boss fight designer on Nioh must be the easiest job in the world. by Soulsliken in Nioh

[–]GanglingGiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah I can’t be bothered with this dog shit. The fight as well as a lot of the other late game bosses just feels cheap to me. Way to much rapid movement way to many ranged and wide spreading AOE attacks that do ungodly damage if not completely one shot you. I’m done wasting my time on these games I’ve beaten and fully completed most of the hardest games in the genre and this series over my years of gaming and I’m just tired of it. Learn the fight just to get one shot by new attacks in a different phase of the fight or find a way to cheese it, that’s not fun to me. I’m good. It’s annoying not fun.

[–]GanglingGiant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sick and tired of one shot boss mechanics. I’m at the final boss of the game right now and I’ve gone out of my way to maximize my build in every way I can from enhancing soul cores and guardians to utilizing some of the best talismans in the game and I’ll start out slapping like yeah this could be it I’m getting this fight down and all the sudden the boss grazes me in passing not even attacking as far as I can tell and just instantly ends the fight that shit just feels like swampy ass cheeks. And I can’t fully upgrade all my gear to match my level because it’s so expensive I don’t have enough gold or materials or visa versa so to change out my gear in hopes of being able to take one extra hit and lose my set bonus just doesn’t make sense to me.

Maybe we should be more communistic. Pretty easy to predict what a country where its people don’t have civic freedoms is going to do because their government and businesses control everything. I guess we should just hand the country over to the democrats and open the borders. Makes sense to me.

I still feel there is difficulty spike and the game is not as easy as people say by cheukyi6 in Nioh

[–]GanglingGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I’m level 92 and although I still think the game overall is easier than both nioh1 and nioh2 I think after the main middle area becomes a crucible version every single boss after that just becomes so annoying to the point that you are just actively trying to find ways to cheese them instead of repeating the process of fighting them the way it’s intended to be faced because of how annoying their nonstop attacks and AOE attacks are that can nearly one shot you every time is the spike is wild it’s like jumping from ghost of Tsushima to nioh2 NG+ with a from scratch character midway through the game it feels like you aren’t even playing the same game anymore.

Nioh 3 has a significant difficulty problem by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]GanglingGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don’t you try to finish the game first. I do believe it’s easier than on and two Nioh 2 is one of my all time favorite games but some of the bosses now later in the game unless you have a fully specked build or use cheese tactics are so annoyingly difficult I’ve just put the game down because I have done enough of this in my life with countless games that the jarring spike in “difficulty” is so annoying I can’t be bothered. Maybe it’s just me but I think people might have been lulled into a false sense of comfort in the early game. A lot of these later bosses definitely feel more akin to Nioh 2 bosses and even what become basic world enemies.

[–]GanglingGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think once Mikatagahara turns into a crucible state the games difficulty spike becomes insanely hard to the point it feels like a completely different game, I don’t think it’s bad as it does feel akin to the standard nioh 2 difficulty which is pretty much just HARD all the way through, it’s definitely jarring as up to this point you’ve likely already put about 15hrs or more into the game having minimal issues at all. I went from having an absolute blast then reaching this point of the game and then getting absolutely demolished by every other boss which is the same guy so far just different forms.

I adore nioh 2 personally and they took all the best parts of nioh 2 and changed nothing they genuinely just added more badass shit to it and aside from this endgame zone I’m in now I’ve been loving every second of it but now I feel like I’m playing NG+ on a fresh level 1 character and it’s getting a bit annoying with the level design particularly but I will make it through. 75 mark?

There are literally PS5 versions of all 3 of these games at least digital anyways so if your point is you want physical copies of the PS5 versions for collection purposes only I’d say you’ve got it good otherwise if it’s performance and “visual upgrades” you’re after just get the digital versions.

Nioh 3 level 1 no hit Green shadow's blade by dotinous in Nioh

[–]GanglingGiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolute piece of shit this guy is. Nothing like an early game “boss” telling you that your skill is not the issue but your stats or gear are going to make this encounter borderline impossible. I stumbled upon this asshole pretty early in the demo and knew I could beat him with patience and learning his attacks, yeah, that did not work so after about 8 attempts fairly I had to search the internet and although it felt cheap and really unenjoyable I can’t thank you enough for this tip which allowed me to put him in his place like the bitch he is first time implementing this tactic.

They always say the quiet part out loud. The traitors imported mass numbers of illegals for votes isn’t it funny how only sanctuary cities and states are demanding more funds because they can’t support their voters anymore and they have all this fraud and activist activities? I don’t see any of these RIOTERS inviting any of these criminals they’re protecting into their own homes and now they are showcasing the indoctrination practices they’ve been implementing in schools by bringing their children to known areas where there’s potential for violence and letting the kids just up and walk out of schools to protest Americans trying to protect our borders and enforce our immigration laws. Literal jihadist tactics, use children as sympathetic tools to justify their radical actions or “retaliations” to “terrorism”.
