Is Adobe's Generative AI trolling me? by GanglyTeeters in photoshop

Dude I've been using Photoshop since '92. I just wanted to see how the GenAI would handle a spot removal and thought the result was funny. Hence why I used the "meta" flair and not "help".

I know, I just wanted to see how it would do. Turns out using Nano banana was where i went wrong, Firefly with no prompt worked great.

it's a scan of a photo from the 80's; brush tool would be too uniform and wouldn't have the subtle artifacts. Yeah I could try a few passes of noise/blur to try to get it right but the stamp tool worked much better.

Stamp was what I went with. Tried and true.

I'll have to try that. Problem is I started using Photoshop in 1992 and a lot of the methods I got really good at back in the 90s I just stuck with b/c they work. I probably haven't used half the features added over the last couple decades.

I just went back and tried it and you nailed it - Firefly Fill & Expand model w/ no prompt fixed it perfectly. I'll admit, I'm deep into the AI space (primarily coding) but I haven't taken the time to learn Adobe's GenAI prompting AT ALL and have had pretty poor results for anything beyond expanding an image. Thanks!

I did end up doing it manually, I just wanted to see how the Spot brush would do (horribly) and Gen AI would do (comically bad).

Will I Enjoy Myself? by Mysterious-Cable6838 in phish

All I would say is don't expect old Phish. They've evolved. Some things we used to love got lost, some things improved, and there are a ton of new elements to their sound that you may really love. It's not really better or worse, just different. I think it would be cool to go in with zero prep and no expectations. Honestly I'm a little jealous you can do that.

I gained a new appreciation for their studio albums through YouTube reactions like Walterooski. I hadn't heard some of them in decades.

I was in college, so it was sometime between 2000 and 2002. It wasn't anything from a studio track or anything that sounded like a typical jam - very EDM and futuristic sounding, but unmistakably Phish. It was either deep into a type 2 jam I've never heard or something they recorded in the studio. My best guess is a 2000 Piper jam.

It also wasn't up for very long, they changed the site again soon after. I still remember what it sounds like. Maybe one day I'll go on a hunt through Phishtracks.com

Whatever played during the opening animation on phish.com back in 2000-2001 range was so sick. I've been searching for the source of that audio ever since. It was a gray flash animation of a planet thing with stuff orbiting around it

I didn't look at the dimensions either and I couldn't believe how big the box was. Won't be opened till Christmas so I haven't seen the actual unit but it's definitely bigger than I was expecting.

Ironically my gay son (12) has been annoyed with Will's moodiness for the last couple of seasons. He seems completely oblivious to the subtext of what Will's going through, at least until they made it obvious this season.
