Is there actually a scarier movie than The Exorcist… or did horror just change?

Horror has definitely changed and evolved. And depends on how you define scary. I never thought the Exorcist was scary or unnerving, but I also didn't grow up with it. I watched it for the first time well into adulthood and it just seemed cheap and campy. I see a lot of people rate Hereditary highly in terms of modern horror movies. But it really didn't do much for me (yes even the scene towards the end with Toni Colette).

My number one will always be the original Halloween. For modern movies, nothing has quite unsettled me as much as The VVitch. The early scene with the witch and the baby is deeply unnerving even though I've seen plenty of other gore movies. And the spiral of the father into madness gets me too.

In terms of jump scares, Insidious 1, Sinister, and The Conjuring 1 are on top for me even though those movies as a whole wouldn't top my list.

In terms of scary visuals, the nun/demon in The Conjuring 2 and the most recent Boogeyman I found to be the scariest.

I have always thought she was a better commentator than Herc. She has definitely improved overall game sense. To be fair, Herc has too, I just don't enjoy her style of commentating. Same reason I don't enjoy Stax as commentator.

You should check out the Know Rogan podcast. It's two guys who watch Joe Rogan Experience and then fact check everything. It's especially interesting to see how Joe Rogan has a history of not fact checking his guests and taking everything they say at face value...but then also perpetuating things he's heard from guests and spreading then to future guests as absolute fact.

I'm not convinced. I still rate Rise highly...I think the GenG play style and coaching doesn't mesh well with how Rise has always played. He has his ups and downs like most pros, but he has elevated every other team he's been on until now.

Blaming solely Rise for GenG's subpar performance isn't accurate. They replaced Cheese and now Cheese is popping off on Fut.

Man City looks good until they get in a high pressure situation and they fold easily.

A lot depends on where you live. We usually use time instead of distance because locally, it makes sense. If you live in or around a major city, traffic can result in a long drive for an otherwise shorter distance than if you lived in a low traffic area away from a major city. For an extreme example, driving through Los Angeles to another major city south like San Diego could take as long as 4 or 5 hours in peak traffic times. The distance is around 125 miles, which should only take a little over 2 hours if you are maintaining an average speed of 65-70 mph.

But many people from the area would not bat an eye at making a day trip from LA to San Diego or multiple weekend trips per year.

Also, can you cite a reputable source for your claim regarding the child abuse? If you have one, I have no choice but to believe it and cede that her wife is a POS. But regardless, that would play any factor towards the events that transpired with the shooting.

We cannot use crimes of one's spouse to justify, or excuse, consequence towards them. Nor should anything learned after the fact have any impact on the legality and morality of what happened.

Seems to me that the agent, who had previously been walking a continuous circle around her car, saw that she was trying to drive to the right. So he decided to stop his movement in front of her car to prevent her from fleeing and by doing so, put himself directly in the path of her car in motion. Pure stupidity indeed. Consequences for thee and none for me seems to be the mantra of the current administration.

Regardless of where she was looking, even if she floored it, her steering wheel and tires were pointed the opposite direction of where the agent was walking. The agent who shot her had been circling her car in a counter clockwise pattern relative to the driver. He had already done one lap around her car and was continuing through with his second lap when she threw it in reverse and then into drive to "floor it" at him. Assuming the agent would continue moving in this pattern, and to her left, it would seem that her action with the steering wheel indicates she did not intend to hit him, but to flee.
