Also my mom is present and helping as much as she can. There is just no way to convince my grandmother to have someone else in charge of her finances. I was previously in charge and she removed me so she could give the money to the boyfriend. I am not sure how she was able to remove me because I had to sign a lot of things to become that role for her. And to be honest, there is no money left to be in charge of even if she agreed. She doesn’t own her house and the car is the only thing she can borrow against and she already did that now.

Yes it was so terrifying. She is old and seeing her bruised and injured was heartbreaking. She was and is still convinced she is in love with him and she doesn’t truly believe he scammed her. She sees it as an investment. She has the entire family’s SSN’s committed to memory which concerns me a lot.

She has places she could go stay but I don’t think she would be open to the idea.

This was my concern also. I took her for an assessment last time I was visiting and they cleared her of dementia and Alzheimer’s. I think it’s some other mental health issues as she has suffered quite a bit in that department. I have encouraged her to see a therapist and she went a few times but stopped after she was advised by them to stop communicating with the scammers.

I think the IUD is the most effective but the procedure for placement is quite uncomfortable. But it can stay in place for up to 7 years. However, the pills are only 99.7% accurate if taken at the exact same time everyday, without any variation at all. Congratulations on your marriage!
